TROUBLE

Yes I have been having trouble getting into my blog. I do not know why it worked now, I hve beeen busy doing things, That is good,. One of my good friends is very sick. My table mate is in the hospital. I am sitting at another tavle with wanda and her husband, They are very kind,

Visits fom carol yesterday with flowers. .......'Sandra came this morning and we had a walk.

NO VISITERS

i AM UNDER QUARTEN just because I have a cough and a sore throart and a headache tHE NURSE came to see me and put me in quaranteen

QUIET

i AM CATCHING A COLD so I will have a quiet day today,

EARLY

OFF TO BED EARLY, Had a good day, spent the morning with Sandra, getting things in order, continued in the afternoon,

ACTIVE

i HAD AN ACTIVE MORNING, First was excercises, they seem very simple but you can feel the effect later. After I went and joined the discusion group. It has really grown and is a lively group, I should go for a walk this afternoon, It is sunny and bright,

Enjoyed a fun day at Carol and Panteli's. Enjoyed the drive there with Sandra, and enjoyed a delicious supper. I have so very much to be thankful for.

EVERY DAY

Every day is different. Some are good and some are difficult. I keep going for my walks and spend time with friends.

HAIR DO

It is amazing what a new hair do will do for one. I am getting s lot of complments to night. I hope it will stay okay for a few days, A busy day getting my hair done, and had a visit with Sandra and spent time with friends down stairs. A young boy is coming to play the piano tonight. I will go down for awhile, he is amazing. I remember how my dad liked to play the piano, Too bad we could not afford to have one of our own. I would have liked to take lessons, My dad played by ear,

LEMON PIE

Had lemon oie for desert. I am going for a walk outisde with my friend Jaenne.

FORGETFUL

I forgot I turned my computer off. Is anyone trying to get a hold of me, No word from Laura,

APPRECIATION

I appreciate all the kind and xaring things my gamily does for me, The visits nd the phone calls and the cookies and the trips to the doctor etc, But things change in your lives so what you can do will change, I love you all and am thankful for my caring the thoughtful family, I am so blessed.

HAPPY ST, PATRICK S DAY,

A FUN DAY HERE, GAMES IN THE MORNING, IRISH MUSIC in the afternoon with Irish coffee. Loking forward to seeing every one for supper.

RULES

Every place has rules. One rule here is that if you are late coming for a meal you take your meal and eat back in your room. The thing is that here people do not always understand, Elspath my table mate does not understand and keeps trying to come and sit in her regular place with me It is sad getting old.

TIME AGAIN

Time passes so very quickly when Rick and Spenser dome for a visit, I appreciate Rick doing my laundry up so nice0.

Sun us shining but dark clouds threartning, I think Rick and Spenser may come today. I was up very early,i do not need much if any shopping.

Doing a lot of walking, It is cool but not bad out. No programs today,

I enjoyed my day. Three friends visited in the morning and in the afternoon there was music and entertainment. I am looking forward to supper and talkimg with friends, I think tyler and aslin are leaving to night, It was wonderful to see them,

Welcome

Rick is pickpng me up to drive over to the home of Sandra and Randy. to visit with Tyler and Aslyn and Leah and Craig and the girls Astid and Ophelia, I enjoyed my visit very much, and was so happy to see everyone, What a wonderful family.

SURPRISE

I was very surprised,to,open mydoor and see Tyler amd Aslin waiting there. I not think they were going to come. Had a wonderful visit.

Busy Day

Yes I have had a busy day watching Sandra do all the work of shopping I am so thankful for my children who help me and stay in touch. I AM SITTING AT MY COMPUTER AND A BEE IS TRYING TO GET IN MY WINDOW, I did not mean to do it all in capital. The two ducks are back swiming in out pond. They come back every year and there will be babies soon. Then the male duck takes off. I will have a big walk after my tunny gets a little less full.

Everything

Eveerything went well today. The drive into town was smooth, We did not have to wait long for the dentist. She explained everything and now it is up to me to get use to this mouth of mine, It will take a while, I ate a bit of supper tonight, The pudding was good, I am so thankful that Sandra can drive me.

MUSIC

Yes there was a small earth quake I enjoyed another musical Friday afternoon, A man and lady singing some of the old favorites. I enjoyed a bowl of popcorn and singing along. LOts of fun. Teen age girls came over from the school to help serve everyone, This day has flown by, Time for supper. Still mashed That is okay I do want to be careful.

BUSY

A busy happy day, Nice to hav Sandra drop by bringing snacks and juice.etc. I hope I have remembered this correctly. I went to morning and afternoon activities which were a lot of fun, I can be as busy as I feel like being.

YES another gray day, Ihave lots to be thankful for I just sometimes forget what it is. I can choose to be happy so that is what I will do A morning walk will help.

Ultra Sound on my legs at 10

UNEXPECTED

Am unexpected phone call saying I have an appointment om Sunday for an ultra sound test on my legs. I do not know why. I HOPE Sandra or Rick can take me on Sunday toimmie Paterson. We had a fun party here at fleetwood this afternoon. I am not doing well with typing,

SUNDAY

I will need a ride on Sunday to Jimmie Patterson for an ultra sound of my legs. I do not know why,

LOVED

hAPPY TO RECEIVE A CARD FROM Kim ans a letter from Alba. This made my day. I love you both with all my heart, My new dentures are horrible but I have been putting them in again this morning. Yes they say I will get used to them,

UNCOMFORTABLE

I am finding my new teeth uncomfortable hard to eat and drink. I am hoping it will get better.

ACTIVE

Yes I am trying to kr=eep active I went to the excorcise class in the morning and later to a craft group In the afternoon I went for a walk, It was cold but very enjoyable. NOW I am like everyone else waiting for supper.

EXCITMENT

A exciting morning first Rick and Spenser arrived. Then theresa and Kim and Theresa s friend They were on the way to the airport. Kim was flying home. Yes a quick visit. It was a happy time. Right now I have a headache, not because I missed lunch, which I did not. I am noy thinking well. Kim went and picked it up for me.

I had a wonderful visit with Oliver and his beautiful girlfried. |I am sorry I have forgotten her name but I will find it out. They enjoyed skiing in thr beautiful mountains of Alberta, A great day for a good long walk. Looking forward to a visit from Rick and Spener A busy time for Rick moving into a place of his own.

SUNSHINE

The sunrise helps to make me feel happy, No one really wants to be here but we all know it is the best place for us now, I have good friends and good meals I do feel lonely at times. but I am choosing to feel happy. Enjoyed VISIT with Oliver and his giflfriend. A special couple

 A dull day.  I sit at my table alone,  My friend is away today.  All activities have been cancelled.  It is very quiet here,

INTERESTING DAY

Word games  in the morning,  Music in the afternoon and a movie  to night,

SAD NEWS

Very sad news.  Ken my partner at meals passed away today.  We  were good friends and I will really miss him,  His breathing had gotten very bad so it would be a blessing,  It will seem very strange to sit at the table with out hum.

But one is never ready to hear bad news, I feel very sad,

I did not sleep well but I did go down and take part in the exercise  class this morning,

Bible study this afternoon,

Still snowing

There is a group called tea and chat at 10.  It is not snowing now,

COLDER

It is getting very cold.  I had a short walk outside and was chilled to the bone,  I will need my winter coat,  hat and gloves.

Enjoyed a visit from Rick and Spenser. It is always a happy time.  Rick is still a bit unhealthy I think,

 

Ken who sits at meals with me is in who sits with me  is in hospital..  I am praying for him.  He has bad lungs and is looking very frail

Time for me to go to supper.  I am not enjoying it because it is all mushed up.  Does not look too appetizing. It is what I need until I get my top teeth.  I appreciate their thoughtfulness.

WHITE

 I wake up to a white world.  Roof tops all covered in snow.  The ground is also looking cold and white,  I will walk around inside first.  Maybe in the afternoon I will do a walk outside,

Sorry Rick I missed your call,  I think it means you are on the way,  I do need a few things at the store, like milk,  I appreciate help.

Winter

 Looks and feels like winter,  .snow on all the roof tops.  Still snowing,  Looks pretty but cold,  They are predicting lots of snow

Had a good talk to Ken yesterday,  Having a fun time with the visit of Carol and Panteli,  

I am reminded a sense of humor is so important in life.

Talked to Rick this morning.  He may not visit on Monday if the roads are not okay,

Stranger

 He was a stranger who arrived in our lunch room.  He was not happy with the menu and he was told he could leave,  I do not blame the servers as they do their best to keep us happy,  This has never happened before.  He had to sit at a separate table.

The morning had started with heavy rain and a few snow flakes,  I think it was too cold to walk outside

I read books and visited with people down stairs,  There is always some one to talk to.

I have felt cold all day so have extra sweaters on.

Had a good visit on the phone with Ken hearing all about the visit with Carol and Panteli.

 There is talk that we may get snow,  Not until the week end,

Sad news about the airplane crash I hope it was  not the air traffic controllers fault.

It is a stress full job.

SADNESS AND JOY

 Life is full of sadness and joy,  The best part is when we share our lives with others,  WE are not alone.  Looking forward to a visit with Rick and Spenser.

MONDAY

The morning begins with a shower which tires me out, so I go back to bed for awhile.  I m lucky I can do what ever I feel like, 

BINGO

 I won one dollar at Bingo.  Off for a walk now,

SATURDAY

Always things to do.  Exercise class in the morning.  I may go to or I may go out for a walk.  Then Bingo after lunch and an art class with the young girls later.  They think everything I do is great but it really is not.  But I keep trying and try to keep busy,   Robbie Burns Day.

TOWN HALL

They were just talking about plans for the future,  Did anyone object or have better ideas.  We all agreed.

It seemed to me not much was changing,

SMARTER

IT took awhile yesterday for the guys to cover the hole the mouse was getting in.  Will he find another one we will see  Happy no mouse this morning,

DRAGONS

 I had a quiet day today.  Went on several walks.  Cool but not raining,

This afternoon a knock on my door and there was a dragon staring at me.  This is for the New Year. they went around door to door to cheer us up,

We laugh a lot and that is good.  Even my girl friend is doing better.  She worries too much like many of us do.  There are always things we can worry about,  She is happy talking to me.  I am a good listener,

Right now I feel good and nothing is worrying me.

Rick is going to take me to the library,  I enjoy that.

Reality

 I am loved

I am strong

I am not alone I have family and friends,

I do not expect any visitors today,

The reality is that I still have times when I feel very lonely.

SUNSHINE

 Another beautiful sunrise,  Sunny days help me feel good..  The girl at my table is not adjusting well,  Now she is not even coming to meals,  I see her at the front door and she promises me she will come for supper.  Every time she goes across  the road to see her husband she comes back with tears in her eyes and is very unhappy.

I know what a difficult time it can be but we have to adjust to it.

I had a good day out with Sandra yesterday,  We ended up doing a bit of grocery shopping.  I bought things that make me feel happy,  Why not?

I will try to make an effort to go to the morning work out.

FORGETFUL

 I am becoming very forgetful and it annoys me,  I am having trouble remembering birthdays something I always liked to do  I have a ew cards on hand and a few stamps.  I need a lot of "Sorry I forgot your birthday cards" Sandra is coming over on Sunday so maybe she can help me

TRAVEL

 Last night I was traveling in my dreams,  I was a young girl rollar skating.  I was having a lot of fun just like I did way back then,

I am traveling with Sandra  into town about my dentures  I am not all that excited.,. Just feel old but I am old so that is not surprisimg.  All went well. measurements were taken.

Went to the singing.

WELL DONE

 Rick has just left.  He did a lot of laundry and is happy to be busy. It was a good day,

BETTER

 Yes I am going to have a better day today.  Yesterday was the worse.  I started having cramps whe I was  sitting in Bible Study class.  I had no choice but to leave.  I was very sick.  I do not know why,  The nurse came to question me and I had no answeers.

Today I am thankful I feel much better,

Finally

 Finally they came up to check my mouse problem.

I went to Bible study but had to leave I had a very bad stomach ache,

I will not go to supper tonight,

EARLY

 Awake  early.  All is quiet here.I am eating blue jello.  It does not taste like anything.I could go down for breakfast but I do not.Too early for even the early birds.  No plans for todday.  Had a nice young student visit me yesterday asking questons,  It was fun,  I think I will go back to bed. I want to be warm.

CHILLY

 Chilly on my morning walk;  I will join the chat group at 10, lots of fun.

Another sunny day and another good walk.

ONE BY ONE

 One by one others are getting sick.  It may be just a cough but they are confined to their rooms.  One of the people at my table is  now not well.  It is still a happy place to be.  I am happy to have my meals prepared for me.   A good group of healthy people. still.

Last night it was only me sitting at my table.

 Had a fun day today,   Sandra came  f\or a visit   I have too many books,  Returned them down stairs.

Also enjoyed the muffins Sandra brought,

THANKFUL

 Yes I have a lot to be thankful for.  Good family good food and good friends,  

O.K.

 The girl from the dining room came to check to see why I was not there.  I explained my mouth was just too sore.  I did go for lunch and had mushy food.  I was also too tired tonight

 Had a very bad sleepless night.  Resting today,  Not going for supper,

A day at a time

 Another cool day.  Need to go for a walk. I wish I could have toast and cereal for breakfat but it is yogurt  again.  

I use to think I felt old but now I know how it really feel.

It takes humility to grow in understanding life,

QUESTIONS

 I believe it is too much for Rick to be coming all the way here to look after me by doing shopping and laundry,  Does anyone have answers,?

Mouth still very sore.

PROGRESS

Rick has to wait to see his doctor until Feb. 7.  Hopefully Shandel is out of hospital.  My mouth is still sore.  I am thankful they mush up my food.

 Thankful to have Rick and Spenser come for a visit.  My laundry is done and my shopping.

Good Therapy

 Writing in my blog I consider as good therapy.  It starts my brain working or at least focusing,  I had a good day yesterday going out with Sandra to get my mouth measured,  What a foggy day to be driving into town.  I am glad Sandra is a good driver.  Everyone is kind and friendly at my appointment,

Rick and Spenser will be here on Wed.  He is feeling tired/0

I believe today will be another good day,  I am happy to be living  in a mouse feee enviroment,

I hope and pray it will be a little better for Shandel and Cameron.

 Life can be tough but we can get tougher.  Be brave young lovers where ever you are.

WARM

 Thankful for my nice warm room.  A cozy place to have visiters.   Hugs as they entered and hugs as they leave so thankful for visiters,

Chris comes to visit

 

Family is so very important to me. so I was so pleased Rick brought Christopher for a visit.  He is looking good and has a busy life.  Working takes a lot of time but it is all good.  I am always so happy to see family, I really enjoyed their visit,

Rick seemed to get rid of the mouse.  He put some traps and he will check them again on Tuesday,  He usually comes Monday but Sandra is taking me to an appointment.

Nice to talk to Carol and Kenny on the phone.  Carol and Panteli seem to be having a great time.

I feel a lot more relaxed.  Life is good.

MOUSE

 The mouse is back.  Maybe I should move  into Carol and Panteli's?  I get out quite a lot.  Even if just to walk around.  

Visiters

 I always enjoy having visiters.  Two friends came on Thursday and Rick and Chris come tomorrow.

GRAY

 The sky is gray and so is my mood.  A mouse climbs up on my chesterfiold and I run and hide in my room. Whoops had to go back for my coffee.   So much for this wonderful New Year,
