COURAGE

Courage.
I never thought it would take courage to go to church.
I feel I should go because I have gone to church my whole life.
I know I really do not like crowds'
I feel a little strange.

I was reading from Mark's gospel.
The disciples had been having a wonderful time
hanging out with Jesus.
When he said we need to be on the other side of the lake
they felt confident.

Then the wind started to blow
They were out on the water in a violent storm.

They woke Jesus up and begged him to do something.
To be a believer does take courage.
"How is it you have no faith?" Jesus asks.

There have been times in my life  when I have felt afraid.
Is there really a purpose in our difficulties?

The disciples were just starting to learn who Jesus was and the power he had over evil
and over our difficulties.  Sometimes it felt stormy.  Sometimes it feels like Jesus is asleep and is not answering our prayers,

Life does take courage!

It takes courage to admit we do not know all the answers.

Today I will read scripture
and pause as I read to listen to what I need to learn form it.
I will pray for a stronger faith
and for family and friends.

.Waiting for the rain to stop before I walk Spenser.

TIMING

                                                      Timing in lie is everything.

We were delighted to have Carol and Ben come for a visit.  This is an old picture because I cannot download today's pictures,  Sorry.

We were happy that we stayed home when Panteli phone to say they were dropping by.  We had planned to drive to the library just to get out of the house.

Ben will be leaving on July 10 to drive down with his dad and Morgan to start a new exciting life at University.  We were grateful to have the opportunity to hear about the soccer games and his future plans and to give him big hugs.

We had a quiet day on Canada day.  We have lots of good memories of going down to Gas Town.  It was fun to be a part of the crowds.  We have changed and find crowds are what we try to avoid.

I believe God answers our prayers in His perfect timing.

All we have to do is be patient and to be thankful.

TOUGH

Our family has been through some tough times.
Life requires us to life with courage and inner strengthtuesday.
.
These flowers keep blooming
we need to keep accepting the good days and the bad days.
Life is a gift, our family is a gift to each other.

Yesterday dad went to the drugstore to have his blister pack filled again.
The young girl said they would not be able to do until
Both Laura and I said this was not good enough.
His pills are to prevent strokes
and to ease his pain.

After Laura leaves dad drives me over to the drugstore.
I am determined to speak to the manager.
I do not have to ask for him as he comes to wait on me.

I tell him we do not need the blister pack just a few pills for now.
I was amazed when he told me the packs  are ready for me to pick up.

We need to be persistence .
Jesus said Ask and it will be given to you.
Seek until you find
Jesus helps those who feel lost and alone.

The kingdom of heaven is within you.
Be like a little child who keeps asking questions.
Knowing that faith in God's love will give you courage.

STRANGE

It seems strange that you only have to tell the truth if you are under oath.
It is hard to know what is the truth.

You never know who you will meet during  the day.
Yesterday we met a lady at the animal shelter whose sister has been cured of the exact t same thing as Carol.  She offers to pray for her.

Spenser and I walk around the pond and a lady hands me a card with a phone number on if I want prayer.   I only smile and say hello.  I know both Carol and I have friends praying for us.

Yes I believe there is power in prayer.
We can choose what to believe.
My faith continues to give me strength and courage.

I remind myself this morning to listen to the inner voice that lives with in me.  I spent time yesterday writing out cards even though my writing is not as good as it used to me.
Yes I believe that I am on the right path which allows me to be me.

In the silence of the morning I feel loved.

QUESTIONS

What a beautiful day!

Is it garbage day?
No one has put out any,
Yes it is.
Not a good day to wear hearing aids.
I see the lady on Tues.
I think they need some adjusting.

Should I do my blog or walk Spenser,
Spenser it telling me he is ready to go,

At 11 today he has another shot.
After we do that we will take some boxes to the animal shelter.

I was reading the Bible
Peter asks Jesus ?Who are you?"
He answers ;"Who do you say I am."
That is the inportant question for each one of us to ask.

TROUBLE

We had two very hot summer days but now it is back to cold,  No snow but cold,

I cannot get my big computer to work.  I guess I will have to wait for Sandra.

Great news Carol's lumps are shrinking.

That is an answer to prayer.

Prayer helps me get through my troubles but sometimes I have to accept uncertainty.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,"

COOL

      Trying to keep cool.
It is too hot for me.
Talking to Ken and he thinks this is not even hot
how about in the 40's.

I will walk Spenser early.
Walking helps improve mentally and physically.
Water my plants.
Thankful I do not need to go any where today,

Very unhappy yesterday as I could not find Ben's soccer game.
It was a miserable day for me.

Today all I am getting is the soccer.

Movement is good but so is resting.

Life is a challenge and all we can do is do our best.
Losing and winning our eperiences that help us grow.
