TOGETHER

We gathered together in the morning to remember those who  gave their lives so we could be free.  War destroys lives and countries and should never happen,  But it does.  Several veterans shared their stories,  Ken was one of them,  There  was a man playing the bagpipes. Dad would have liked that.

Rick and Spenser are good company,  I am glad Rick does a good job doing my laundry.  He did not need to go to the store as Sandra had got me things the day before.  Carol and Kim phoned from California and we could see each other because they phoned on Rick's phone.  It was so good to hear from them.

In the afternoon Cathy G. dropped by.  She looks very good and is busy writing her book.  We had a fun visit, enjoying getting caught up.

Enjoyed supper with Ken and Jaenne.  I will be ready for bedtime and a good sleep,

Sounds like you had a very full day on Monday. Since the doctors office was closed on Remembrance Day the prescription would not have been sent in yet.
We did not do much. Randy is on the picket line everyday in the old and rain even with his cold. The men all bring in things to share to eat. They have a barbecue and cook breakfast on it as well as lunch and dinner. Sandra

Hi Grandma. Did you play chair volleyball? I bet that would be fun. Although, I would be afraid that I would get excited and fall out of the chair. I am going to play in a charity volleyball tournament later this month to raise money and collect toys for families at Christmas. It's only two games, not too much of a tournament but it should be fun. Lots of money and toys for families will get raised. What book are you reading for your book club? I am impressed at how much walking you a doing. I find it hard to be motivated to walk without a dog. Love you - Theresa

I am glad the Remembrance Day service was well attended. Dad did often go those types of things. Made him think of his two uncles that died in the War, I suppose.

I am trying to get organized in my book research. Always so much more to learn. Hard to know where to draw the line.

Spenser went for a walk at 7 am (it was garbage day today, because of the holiday yesterday and I was up early) but is now fast asleep.

I bought some sausages at the Save-on and now I need to cook them, so I guess it will be sausages and pancakes for dinner. Found the measuring cup, so I am all prepared!

Love,

Rick

That sounds fun Teresa and a good way to get toys for kids!

I love bag pipes too. They are a unique instrument. Cameron worked Monday and I was off. It's been really gloomy here lately. I miss having more sunshine.
