I hope you get spoilt and can relax and enjoy whenever you celebrate!  But now I understand you are not feeling at all well.
Praying that you will recover soon.  Mothers work so very hard so take care.
The children are growing so fast and a busy time for all.

A DOG’S WORLD

P2031593
P2031596
This is the nearest park, about three blocks from our house
where Kim and I walk Haiti.  There are a group of dogs who are there regularly and Haiti has a great time playing.  Haiti is the fastest runner but refuses to chase balls just other dogs.  I did not get a picture of her running which is too bad.

Kim tries very hard to keep Haiti out of our bedrooms as she sheds hair so badly.  The thing is she loves to come in and say good morning to us both.  Dad is usually still sleeping so she goes in and pokes her cold nose onto his.  She also will come and sit by us at our computers so quietly we often do not see her.

Yes dogs bring a lot of joy into our lives as do children and grandchildren.

Looking back I know that my brain was damaged by the many years of undiagnosed celiac, and the stress and worries I had at that time.  Also I suffered a severe blow to my head when I was hit by the force of a powerful shot of a broom ball.  I was knocked to the ground and suffered a headache after.

I have to look at these past experiences and also what has  given  me stress and anxiety today.

Balance and harmony are important to me now.

I am a young person with a slightly aging brain.  My goad is to slow down my mind and so that my brain will get younger.  There is hope for me; even though I put my clothes on inside out, I forget appointments, or lose my train of thought and I am forgetful; but I have not put the frying pan away in the frig (this is a bad sign) and I know what it is and where it goes.

P2031597I know I need to eat good food and cut back on sweet things and exercise.  I need to get a good nights sleep and take time during the day to relax and think positively Keeping a zest for life even when you do not feel  like it  and be thankful.  This is good for my brain!

GRAY POWER

P1311575
My hair is getting grayer as I struggle to get my computer booted up. I think that is the right word.  I lost a lot of sleep which I know I need to power up my brain.  Yes I am back reading my brain books again.

I realize that I need to feed my brain with every thing I do from eating properly to getting exercise and to learn to stop worrying.
Part of that is learning new thinking skills.

P1311574This is one of the many paintings dad did.  He paints like Toni  Onley.  He also flew with him to a place in the mountains where they spent the day painting.  Toni kept his airplane at the same little airport where dad had his. He was a very likable person who told some great stories.  Dad painted quite a lot of pictures in different places where he had a view of the mountains.

Tuesday I had a good walk and then dad and I went to an early movie:  "The Imitation Game" about breaking the German codes in the 2nd World War.  A fascinating story but I also enjoy the scenes shot at Oxford and at the military base and at the village.  Lots of gray hair there taking in an early afternoon movie.

Came home and supper, very healthy supper was ready in the oven.  We are so blessed.  Carol also stopped by for a visit which makes Haiti get extremely excited.  Later dad watched the hockey and I tried to concentrate on my book explaining why I cannot concentrate.  One reason is I have an old brain but I can boost up the power with good food,  proper sleep, exercise etc.

I may have mild cognitive impairment with a bit of apraxia, this is what affects balance and motor skills.

I also believe in the healing power of love so combined with a healthier lifestyle I will improve.  Keeping young at heart is also important.

INTELLIGENCE

P1241488
My  computer shut down completely.  I figure the new intelligent  gang had read my title and I was put on a shut down list.  Ha Ha

Some where, some how it was unplugged and no power was getting through.Another rainy day, it was a lighter off and on rain, yesterday.

I asked Kim and Oliver at breakfast if they wanted to go for a walk with me.  Sorry Gama just too busy.  Kim was off to school and Oliver wanted to catch an early ferry.  I decided to take Haiti who is always willing.  Even though it was raining a walk felt good.

Had a long talk to my friend who is going through a very difficult time.  We both have lived a long life and have gone through many hard times.  We both are fairly intelligent but finding an answer to her problems would be heartbreaking no matter what she finally chooses to do.  Somehow we believe life at our age should be simpler but even grown children can be problems.

Dad and I see a lot of poor planning everywhere we go.  With a little intelligence things could have been done a lot better.

As Christians I believe we are being more aware that intelligence is important in our faith.  The Bible,  a book written by so many and at a lot of different times and cultures is bound to be  inerrant aso we cannot always see the scriptures literally.  It is an ancient and historical requiring intelligent study that can change early views.  A sacred book of wisdom and truth.

NEW BEGINNINGS

P2021589
So wonderful to start our month with our family calender from Shawna.
It really is a blessing.
Thank you Shawna we really appreciate the hours and creativity that goes into this.  A lifetime enjoyment.
P2021588
We also enjoyed a visit from Oliver.  Yes he has been out in the wilderness.
P2021586
Left to go on the early fairy home.  Time goes so quickly~
Rushed out the door and nearly forgot his snow board, which is a dangerous thing to leave here..
Dad and I feel very blessed by all our family even when we have to beg to be let in the door.
Sorry I spelt Shawna wrong.

UGLY

P2011576
My garden looks very ugly right now with so much old dry leaves and sticks lying around.  I try to do a bit each day but there is no improvement.  Dad brought me these little ornaments to cheer it up a bit and they make people smile as they pass by.

I went for a good walk but was annoyed at people just throwing their garbage out the window of their cars and making the street very ugly looking.  Fortunately my mood improved as we join friends for church and for lunch afterwards.
P2011578It was good to know Kim was doing a house cleaning while we were at church.  .she let us know she would be having the music up loud as she cleaned up the house.    Dad had a substantial meal but they had no gluten free items so yes  I  had a salad.

Then Carol phoned and asked us for supper as Oliver would be driving through but Sandra had already phoned to invite us over to watch the game.   So we two invitations.  We would have like to see how things were going at Carol and Panteli's and also to see Oliver.   I do not know if Oliver is coming back here or not for the night.   Kim  was hoping he would go play soccer with her team and her wish was granted.

Dad really wanted to see the game.

When we arrived at Sandra and Randy's they were having a cook-off.  Randy was making  spicey shrimp.  Sandra her famous beef stew.  A warm fire place greeted us the delicious smell of cooking.
P2011579
The game was not too exciting until the end.
P2011582
It was funny at church the minister was talking about the ugly side of life when a bad mood may hit anyone of us.  Especially it is hard for those suffering with depression.  I had already started my blog.
Knowing that God’s love surrounds us all is a real blessing.

DISCOVER

P1301565
Fogy mornings turn into sunny afternoons.
Saturday was a foggy day.

I am looking to discover :

Discover the new exciting field in brain science, putting it all together to help us recognize how mind, brain and body work together, as well as the energies around us, all essential elements that combine in health and healing.

Discover the meaning for your life.

Discover that on our walks there may be rocks and dangers.

Discover that each one of us,  of has the responsibility to investigate the uncharted ground upon which we find ourselves.

Discover that being right is not that important and that in searching for answers there will always be more questions.  Experience all that life demands from you because the search is life-long.  There will be times when what you need most is fun and laughter, or be creative or just  rest  and relax.
Or for Haiti it meant a good brushing and then a bath.

Discover that we all have made wrong choices but keep on the path of exploration.
