GARDENS

Some of my garden in the front yard.  Always needs watering and dead heading!

Went for an early walk with Haiti and an owl hooted at us and some crows flew away making a racket.  No one was at the park so Haiti could have a run.  Nice and cool first thing in the morning.

Soon time to get my hearing checked.  Yes, I have 30% hearing loss which was not surprising.  The high notes on the test were very painful and I came home with what I call inner ear problems. dizziness, nausea and headache.  Took an anti histamine and  a half of a gravol and laid down.

The answer is hearing aids that may tone down the painful hearing so we have an appointment with the hearing aid specialist for October.

Dad decided to get his hearing checked by the hear aid provider which is a longer test and a better one.  He goes at 10:30 to-morrow.  We had made an appointment with Vera to visit her at 10:30 and I know this is important for her so dad will drop me off and go to his appointment.

Our time with Ophelia was happy as usual.
Some of her little friends from day care.
Poor Craig got into a real traffic mess so instead of being early he was late.
He looked very hot and tired.
We canceled supper with the Wises.

Dad was asked out for a ride with our neighbor T.J.  !  !
H e was hot and tired with pain in his feet and knees etc. but it would be forgotten.

"Every time you do not follow your inner guidance
you feel a loss of energy
loss of power
and loss of self.

There are weeds and prickles growing in among my flowers
and life often tests us to react with patience with others who are prickly.

To love and accept others is very difficult at times.

I will try to let go of my anxiety  and worry by allowing the peace of the Holy Spirit to guide me.

HELP

Help our internet is not working.!

We are so thankful we can help Craig and Leah out by picking up Ophelia from day care and looking after her for an hour or so.  She is so happy but she sure gets into everything now so we will have to put some stuff away.

Yes we have our inter-net working thanks to the help of our neighbors  At the same time we were driving into Ladner they had the East link truck at their door.  They had the same trouble as us and they gave them a new mortem but the one we got from Ladner did not work.  Our neighbors came through and helped us once again.

First it was Todd who helped dad lift his heavy door back on.  He was glad to help and it was not trouble for him, a big strong young fellow.

Now we have a link to something called a banana phone from our neighbors computer.  We just happened to be talking to them over the fence when we found out they had the same trouble as us.

We picked up Haiti when we were in Ladner.
We have missed seeing her.
I planned a short walk with her but met one of my friends whose husband is dying with liver cancer.  She wanted to talk so Haiti and I did a long walk with her.  I know this helped her.

I came home and had a big nap.  I think the heat and the smokey  air makes me tired.

To-morrow I get my hearing tested and later we pick up Ophelia and then back home to wait for her daddy to pick her up and then on to Sandra and Randy's for supper with Adina.

Spiritual is also available.

We have the promise of Jesus that the gift of the Holy Spirit would help us to live a better Christian life.

A gift of divine knowledge and wisdom and a source of energy and inspiration.

I know I need His help which for me comes through prayer and worship.

"I will send the counselor (the Helper) to you who will guide you into all truth."  John 16

NOISY

We thought we had a bird in the house because we could hear a squeaking chirping house.  I looked and looked and then realized it was the battery in the smoke alarm.  The air was very smokey and he moon very orange to-night.

A warm day to go visiting but I wanted to share some of my lovely flowers.  Joan at the Seniors Home was pleased to see me and she even jokes a bit as I leave.  "Don't do anything I wouldn't do" she says as I leave.

The visit with her was very quiet and the library even quieter when we drove there next.

I was able to get an appointment early with the ear doctor as some one had cancelled.  I go to-morrow at 1:30.  I hope I get some answers.  I am a little deaf but high frequency noise hurts my ears.  Very strange.

Sometimes just the presence of another person brings comfort to a lonely soul!

TIME

Time is so precious.

I open the sundeck doors to let the cool morning air in.
A wasp comes in uninvited but soon flies out again.
The fragrance of my lovely bouquets of flowers fill the air and reminds me that the fragrance of love still lingers here.

I appreciate so very much all the help that created a beautiful party with lots of laughter.
I read my cards over once again and just about everyone expressed the words that I was special and I am reminded that I am so grateful for the way each one of you my family has touched my hearts in so many ways.  Yes we are all special and unique!

Love as expressed in forgiveness is the strongest love there is.

I do so love balloons and these are especially beautiful!

I walked over to the park to put my balloons in a tree at the entrance.  My hope is that they will touch someone's heart as they drive by or walk by.  I meet Joanne there a friend I have not seen in ages.  Yes, timing is everything.  She comes home with me and enjoys a cup of tea on our new patio.

She pours out her heart to me and I am happy to just listen.  She is a strong woman will a strong faith but life has given her poor health so that she lives with pain daily.  She also listens to me and encourages me as we talk together.  We have had many walks and talks together over the years.

I have a restful day after she leaves until it is time to pick up Ophelia.  She is delightful and both dad and I love spending time with her.  We go out side with her but we have to watch her very carefully.  She likes picking up rocks and wants to put them in her mouth.  She ended up with dirty little knees,

Craig and Leah take time to have a bite to eat with us.  I cannot believe a car came around the corner and hit Leah's car and damaged the front light.  They have been trying so hard to get ahead.  Often this is the way of life.

At the end of the day and I am thankful everyone arrives home safe!

The fragrance of the flowers reminds me of the fragrance of God's forgiving love that is always with me!

WHAT IS IT?

We have a new beautiful butter fly in amongst our flowers.

The black and white cat comes crawling in our yard and crawls over to see it.  She sees me looking through the open door and looks very silly.

It even lights up at night.
Thank you Tasha and Justice..

I am thankful for the cool morning and am not looking forward to the very hot weather coming.
Dad and I are exhausted after the party.  There was so much I planned to do and forgot to do it.

Life often does not live up to our expectations.  I would love to go to bed every night knowing I was a hero but more often I feel more like a sinner.

I am reminded that at any age we are a work in progress.  The hero is the one who is willing to say they were wrong and will try to do better.  I love a peaceful home and enjoy our back yard even more that dad has improved it.

I can only hope and pray that as I turn to prayer God's love with make a difference.

I need to forgive myself and those who have hurt me during the day.
Yes, I need to keep positive and continually ask my self what is it that really is bothering me?

Saint or sinner?  What is it?

GRATEFUL

I am extremely grateful for every moment of love and joy that has sustained me through times of difficulty, poor health and family moving away so far but still in my heart,
Grateful for everyone who came and made my day a day of loving caring and sharing.

A long drive from Kamloops

A good time to talk and share together our love for each other.  Thanks Rick for cleaning up the mess some animal left on our patio and shining up the table so good!
She is looking at all the strange people.

Grateful for your help in providing more food!

Mom and daughter.

Thanks Morgan for bringing balloons and making me feel young again!
Another beautiful cake by Sandra.

I missed getting pictures of Justice and Ben and Paneli.  The boys took off for the park to kick a ball around.

Sorry we forgot the sandwiches.
Thankful we can accept one another as we are with our opinions and ideas!
Thankful for the grace of forgiveness.

Old age can be beautiful when shared with loved ones.

POSITIVE

Kim arrived with some gluten free goodies.
Thanks to both her and Hamlet.
I can't believe I ate whole package right away!
She is a very good positive influence on both dad and I.

Dad helped her to put in a new battery that worked until the first place she stopped at the  College.
A quick trip with the right tool got it working again.

Again today my heart was filled with warmth that is positive thoughts watching dad and Kim working on the car together.

Dad also talked to Carol trying to help her with her project.

Rick phoned to say he is coming to-morrow so that is positive news.

Sandra writes on my blog with her words of wisdom which I always appreciate.

Being positive is not always easy for me even though I have a lot to be thankful for and I am so blessed to have positive people in my life affirming me!

Helping others helps.

Prayer helps.
