KARMA

Dad must being experiencing good karma.  He was amazed when Rickcame here to help him.  Also Carol and  SANDRA Supported him by taking him to his appointments etc.

Yesterday Panteli gave him a new shirt for his birthday.  He really needed a short sleeve one.

Today he was blown away when a new cell phone arrived from Ken.  He was so thrilled and happy.

Me I am having a lot of pain.  It has gone from my knee to my hip to a muscele in my back.

Life can be a challenge.

Do you think your pain is caused by arthritis Beth? It can move around...mine does too. I was up in the night and had to rub voltaron on my hip and hand and take pain meds..it is frustrating to say the least! I hope your pain is gone soon. Try and not do too much...that is what makes mine worse.

Now aren't those nice gifts for Larry. does he have an iPhone? I LOVE my iPhone and converted Ken over to them as well. He never cared for them until he had to get one to run his new drone with and once he got the hang of it, he LOVES it too! They are so much easier to use, than an Android phone. I used to have an Android and never would go back!

We are having our house painted and I wish I could post photos here for you to see! It is looking fabulous! Just like a new house and it is 45 years old. It was white and maroon and now is a soft grey green and white trim and white on the cedar too. The door is going to be a dark blue and I am a little worri3d about that...but we can always change that!

I see you are having a heat wave in BC...very hot weather. That is good because if it is hot there it is cooler here! YAY. I am not a fan of hot weather. Stay cool...do you have air conditioning? I know many places at the coast do not.

Well I made bread buns and lasagna for dinner so I had better get to dishing things out. I made a lasagne for Bob, my vegetatian Son. Ours has meat.

Take care now and rest,
Lots of love sent to you both,
Nancy

Just a short note. I looked to see if there was a post today, but no. not too worry, if you don't post everyday! You have been so faithful to your blog and written so many interesting stories over the years, so if you are tired or running out of things to say, take a break!

I am hoping that you are having less pain and Larry is doing well too.

We are pretty hot here, not anything like they are expecting in Bc though. It is downright scary looking at the temps for Vernon Bc...high in the 40's. I sure hope there aren't many forest fires. I have a cousin who lives there and must contact him to see how they are faring.

Wishing you both a lovely evenin...are you following the NHL playoffs? We used to root for Montreal in the 1960's when they had such a good team. At that time there were only6 NHL teams.

You have to earn good Karma, I think, so well done Dad!

I hope the sore muscle in your leg responds to treatment, Mom.

Good on Kenny to send Dad such a nice present (Craig might be able to help Dad set up the phone and get it working properly). And I am sure the summer shirt from Panteli will come in handy during this heat-wave!

I am jealous of Nancy-Lou's homemade lasagna. I will have to make do with frozen lasagna myself tonight.

I ventured out in the morning heat to get my hair cut (and the hair on my ear waxed off, which I really need). Now safely back at home in my cool basement suite. I won't be going out again today - I hate the heat, and the stroke just makes me more sensitive.

Love,

Rick

I am glad to hear Rick has a cool suite because BC is so hot the next few days. Actually hotter than I remember. I hope your lasagna was tasty! it is a favourite of Kens and I always make enough to freeze for two more meals. I make my Son a vegetarian version too. Plus made bread buns. It was a cooler day so I could turn on the oven.

I hope you and Larry can stay cool too Beth. Not many people have air conditioning at the coast. Even in their cars. We bought a new toyota van on Van Island and it didn't have air-conditioning or a block heater for the winter. In fact it required two air conditioners because it was large. WE never did get it and it was soooo hot to drive because you sat on top of the motor. A Previa, 1993. The newer models had the engine in front.

WE are planintg still. I bought two daturas...at the greenhouse yesterday and a Morden shrub rose. So we have to plant them today. ken is busy making holes in an old wash tub to plant the daturas. They will grow to be 6 ft high but are poisonous. One is a lovely yellow and the other purple, and they are doubles. Wish I could post some pics, but check out my facebook page!

Gotta run, Ken is ready to roll,
Love to you both...have a wonderful day and stay cool

KINDNESS
my computer shut down.

I want all who have been so kind to me.

Sandra drove me to the doctors.

Dr Nolte saw me in his lunch break.

Best of all the doggie
lady took Spenser in for a wash and trim.

We all love you Beth, especially your family! You have given so much love and help to many over the years and I am sure everyone is happy to give back to you. Me too, although I haven't met you I feel as though I have after all these years and you have certainly given me lots of inspiration through your blog.
I hope Dr Nolte was able to help you with your pain. Did he give you a better pill for your pain I hope so as pain is so debilitating.
Sending you lots of love and hugs and good vibes and prayers,
Feel better soon, my friend,
Love Nancy

You both have done so much for many others I can’t imagine you ever receiving all the good karma you have earned over the years. Really hope this pain gets better. I will send some pictures to Grampa’s cellphone today.

So good to hear from you! Maybe it's time for a new computer. Then you would be set. Did Grandpas Father's Day card show up? Sorry that was late. We will try and call tomorrow.
