FAMILY

The tree  at Carol and Pantyeli's.

It is good to be with family.

We were all ready to head home and I wanted to take a picture but all I heard was "No",

This the tree that Carol decorated the day before..

We smelled the roast of beef cooking as we entered the door..  Rick was the cheff while Carol and Panteli provided vegtables  and salad.  There was pie from a gourmae store in town.  Ruburb and berries.

We enjoyed a fun time around the dinner table.  There were even red candles.

All to soon it was time to leave.  We are walking to the car when dad fell down on his knees and his back.  Not too badly hurt but very shakened up.  He is falling more and more.  He needs a walker like me.

It was good to be home.

Today dad goes to the cancer doctor.  Rick is driving him.

In the after noon Pat and John and Nick and Drena are dropping by with Cristmas goodies.

It is always good to see old friends.

I hope Dad is ok. My kids go to the water park as part of the end-of-school celebration. The weather is terrible, with strong winds and rain and a forecast high of just 16c. This may be the last day of school. They have activities at school but no actual work.

I hope you enjoy your visit with Pat and John and Nick and Drena. I remember Pat and John, but not the other couple.

Good to look at that old photograph today and clean the glass a bit and discover the 'hidden' dog that Dad, as a baby, in 1936 was balanced on by his mother and father.

Dad came very, very close today to taking a bad tumble backwards into the rocks beside the driveway, with his hand jammed in a hand-hold on the front railing to boot. So we have to be extremely careful when Dad goes anywhere. I think you are right that, for you two, travel in the car and out and about to shopping malls and so on should be restricted. Whether Dad should be driving at all is a related topic, but that can wait another day.

Love,

Rick

No, Dad should not be driving but it is mom you need to convince. Very glad that dad did not fall against those rocks, that would have been very painful.
