ADVENTURE

If I can start to think of this as an adventure moving to a town house would not be so difficult.  //sandra took me for another look on Sat.  Rick and Carol also had a look.  Rick saw the two places.  One that had furniture in it and the one just bare,  I liked the wood floors and the kitchen with room for a small table.  I would use the second bedroom for a den with the T.V. in it.  Dad could use it for his reading room too.

Sandra is taking dad for a l;ook on Tuesday morning.  If he likes it I think we should take it.  Nothing is perfect in life so taking a chance could turn out to be the best thing for us.  It would be nice to be near Rick, Carol and Panteli.  Also the libary and a small park.

Sunday I had a very restful day so lots to do today.  We enjoyed a delicious supper with Carol and Panteli and Rick. Fresh caught salmon.!

Melina and I went to the school today to pick up the kids books.$1600 not cheap. Big storms this afternoon. Matthew had lots of fun driving the tractor around the farm today. Jesse got it running after sitting idle for a few years.

Since they are both the same unit, the only decision is what is most important, being able to see the sky or having the larger outdoor area. Or wait till you find something that has both? But then it might not be a corner unit and have so many windows.

Taking a chance is definitely the scary part of life. Have to feel what your intuition is telling you.

If you are going to put an offer in on the ground floor unit, then I would put in well below asking price. Residential prices are down and will continue to go down in 2023 as interest rates continue to rise. But sellers haven't got the memo yet - they are still dreaming 2022 dreams when buyers would be feverishly bidding over asking with their zero percent mortgages. No more. No more. No more. So don't be the last buyer that gets the memo (You will see all this from the buyer's side when you go to sell the Woodridge Crescent home).

By the way, I very briefly met what I think would be your neighbours on the ground floor unit, and they seemed very jolly. In their '50s maybe.

By the way, I agree with Sandra that, over the longer-term, the light and view from the 2nd floor unit would be a significant benefit.

I am at the United Church archive downtown tomorrow and Thursday.

Love,

Rick

How exciting! Sounds like you are getting close to a choice for your new home. Can you take your dog? I hope so. I am sure you will be really happy with a townhouse. Much less work fir you both. Fingers crossed it all works out fir you.
Love to you both, Nancy
