ROADS

We have travelled many roads together
Since we got married and faced the unknown together.

Our first trip was to leave Regina and travel by plane out here.
We were assigned different seats but nice people offered to give us theirs so we could sit together.
We were married in sunshine but greeted by the rain when we arrived here.  I found it hard to get used to the fog and rain here at the coast.

Carol came over yesterday to dead head the flowers which looked so sad and unhappy.  She said :
Come on get in my car and I will take you home with me.  We enjoyed a meal together with her and Panteli.  Haiti was so happy to greet us.  We enjoyed a short visit until Panteli it was time for us to return home.

Dad still likes to do some driving but we our grateful to have rides too.

In our marriage we have learned the transforming power of love.  We have learned to forgive and to be compassionate.  We have laughed and cried together.  /we have driven many miles back to see our parents.  Once in a blizzard where we could not even see the road.  We were happy to see the road block at the end of our journey.  The police were stopping cars from entering.  They were amazed to see us drive out of the blowing snow.

We now face the challenges of failing health that requires courage as well as love.

Our lives were enriched by the birth of our four children.
They are a part of our meaningful memories.

We have learned the transforming power of love.
New roads lie ahead for us.

Lorna has arrived at 9 this morning and has taken Spenser for is walk.  We will go out to eat later.
It is raining here too.

Thanks for the comments.
We were looking at old blog books and enjoyed all the comments.

Many of those road trips were to see us in Alberta! It was 19 years ago you would have driven up to our house in Fort Saskatewan to be surprised with a wedding.

Were you not up for a walk, or was Spencer protesting at the rain?

How did day 2 go? Did Dad go get his pills from Safeway and finish putting them in his pill dispenser?

Very windy last night and did not sleep well with the blinds banging. Was hoping Randy would close the window but also got up and closed them.
