The camera is the favorite thing right now
We have a visit from Sandra and Randy and Mary and Simone and Sebastien.

Spenser isone of the favorite subjects.
Mary gets ahug from Sebastien

What kind of a smile is that?

Nice photos the kids took. I bet the camera is something they don't see these days! With cameras on the phones...a novelty. Spenser looks so cute in his dog bed. Is he a Shitsu Breed of dog? Very cute. It is so nice that he was rehomed with you! Dogs bring us such pleasure.

I hope you are feeling better Beth and have relief from your pain. It is so debilitating.
Nice to see you are having lots of visits with your family.

We had the first visit in 16 months from someone outside of our "bubble". finally Manitoba seems to be starting a recovery from Covid. Our Grandson came out for the day and helped his Grandpa cut down a huge spruce tree. Wood for the winter!

Our Grandson came for the day yesterday and he and GRandpa cut down a huge spruce tree for my niece. ken gets to keep the wood, which he can add to his large collection in the wood sheds. WE burn lots of wood in our stove in the winter. I love it...so comforting when it is cold. Even on cooler summer nights, later in the summer we will have a small fire.
I wish I could post a video of the tree coming down with a crash. Maybe if I use my iPhone I can!

We had 7 above 30 days in a row and most days were 35. it was very tiring for everyone even when we have air conditioning. The gardens loved it though..everything was growing so quickly. Today it is 12 and it is 11:00. so a cooler day and we feel it is COOLD!brrr. Such a dramtic change,

I am wondering how Rick is doing in kamloops with the treat of the fires and the smoke. So worrisome. We are thinking of you Rick and hope you will be ok. We have a high danger of fire too, since it is so very dry here. We are hoping the cottagers will be careful. There is a fireban, but some do not listen. The renters are careless and uninformed.

They leave garbage where bears can get into it and they light off fire crackers too. Next year everone will have to hav bear resistant garbage cans and they are $225. we only had ours for a week and the bear took it in the bush about a 100 yards and ripped the axle and wheels off it and managed to get in one side and pull ouot garbage. It was replaced and so far this year he has wrestled with it a few times but hasn't been able to open it. thankfully!

There have bnen more bears than usual here this year. But we carry a bear banger when we walk, but haven't had to use it yet. They are non aggressive, but there is always a chance! so better to be careful.

I hope you both are feeling well and have a wonderful day,

Sending you love,
nancy
