VISITERS

THANK FULL.
This is room by a window.  many sunny days and new doctors and nurses who till be helping me on my recovery.  MY Family also with their visits and  thoughtfulness are wonderful.  Honestly it hurts to move, to laugh or cough,

I have to learn put breaks on when I manage to climb the railing with dad's help to hop in the commode in the nick of time

Timing can be so important in life

I had many new lessons to learn.

I was there a week,

I saw Doctor Nolte today  HE was pleased and increased pain meds and laxative

Good to hear you saw Dr Nolte. How was it getting out of the house? Did you walk or did Dad get you a wheel chair to use? We went to the beach yesterday and will go to the petting zoo today.

We will stop by maybe in the afternoon.

You gave me a scare, Beth, when I saw the photo of you in the hospital I thought you were back there! Glad to hear you are still at home and starting your healing journey. I pray your pain eases and you can get about more easily. We like eating prunes to help keep " the wheels going around"! I buy a bag of them at Costco and they are delicious...great for a snack.

Were you able to go to Sandra's for the family get together? She put some awesome photos on her facebook page...lots of the cute little kids. Aren't they growing up quickly?

Victoria Beach is bustling with summer visitors....people and dogs are coming out of the bushes all over the place. They are looking for blueberries. The blueberries are scant this summer, due to the ferocious spring storm we had in early May with freezing temps and ice. Raspberries are plentiful. They must be more hardy.

I am busy organizing the 21st summer craft sale for August 15/16. Although Merrilee and I retired from managing the sales this spring, we are mentoring the fund raising group at the local community club. Showing them how to do it for this their first year. Also organizing my lesson plans for the art classes. They start on MOnday...a teens class.

Have a good day, Beth and Larry,

Love to you both,

Nancy

Beth, I know you can't reply on your blog yet, but just wanted to stop by this morning and say I am thinking of you. I hope you are resting comfortably and your pain has eased a lot.

I saw on the news that all of BC is in extreme danger of forest fires....quite unusual for the rainy coast! It is getting dry here too and I worry about the summer cottagers being careless with fire pits and BBQ's. They need a fire permit for a fire pit, but many ignore the regulations. It is scary because we essentially are an island and the only way out is through the highway which has water on either side, marshes. There are about 5,000 people here right now...compared to 400 permanent residents.

Take care, my friend....wishing you both a good day today,

Love Nancy
