I am try very hard to remember to write things down and to remember where they are written.
We were waiting and waiting for Ava and Jeff to come and finally sent them a message.
I had the right time but the wrong day and both them and Cathy were coming at the same time.
Overbooked just like the airlines.
After feeding like a failure we get a call from hospital from Vera. She is very happy and excited telling us that everyone who came in her room had a great laugh at the card we gave her. It said she was the "Bees Knees" which was an old fashioned saying that fir her perfectly. She is a very happy person who made us laugh .
Sunday morning is prayer time as is every morning. So many going through tough times. Prayer helps me focus on God's love and have compassion for others to feel their pain and sadness.
Prayer was the topic at church this morning. A very thoughtful sermon.
I went but dad had a little stomach upset.
It was a busy and very day enjoyable sitting in our back yard with Ava and Jeff and later with Cathy.

Your back yard is a little piece of heaven in the summer time.
On Saturday, I will meet you at Sandra's place for the big pool party for Lincoln and Seeley. Then hopefully stay with you on Saturday night, if that is okay (watch Heartbeat, of course). Probably drive home to Kamloops on Sunday morning. It is funny about Heartbeat. These episodes were film in about 1994. That is about 25 years after the late sixties where the events are taking place. Now we are watching them 25 years after they filmed. So it is like a study on evolving social patterns - that is, what people thought was right and proper in 1968, and how people in 1994 chose to present that (Kate is always struggling against discrimination against woman), and now us looking at 1994 and thinking about what they thought about 1968, and what we think of 1968 and 1994 now.
My friend Randy's mother is very ill and in hospital and may pass away at any time.

Regarding my tooth, it gets taken out and the implant put in on the afternoon of August 6th. Would have liked sooner, but this is what was available.
