SUNSHINE

A great day to celebrate the birth of a new baby.  Maxwell!

I woke up this morning feeling I really felt like being on the road again so why not go and celebrate with Theresa on her birthday.  She was working in Abbortsford so we suggested taking her out to lunch.  Then she suggested we drive out to Chilliwack.  It was then we found out she was going out with friends for an early evening.

Dad went for a quick bike ride and  the plans just were not working so we drove to the River Inn instead.  We sat out on the deck with a cool breeze watching boaters coming and going.  We knew the right decision had been made for all,

I have created a little path through my garden which is fairly easy to get in and out from.  Lots of dead heading to do.  Lots of watering on sunshiny days.

For me as a Christian Jesus is the one who helps me find my spiritual path.  The way to the heart of the Father through my heart.

I am reminded it is all about relationships and love.

Also weplan our days but we do not control how they unfold.

Yes, a short drive to sit beside the river sounds much more relaxing than fighting the traffic out to Chilliwack. Remember the days when the only thing you had to be thinking about was the length of the drive when heading east to the valley?

Had my intuitive eating group last night. We were short one lady who had her baby on Sunday, at home! She was 2 weeks early so I hope the baby is big enough.

hmmm who had the baby Maxwell. Cute name but it makes me think of Maxwell Smart!

Sometimes you just have to 'go with the flow' as they say! It is good to be flexible and change plans....I am sure it was the right decision for you.
That drive out to the valley is so congested now...from the days we first drove through there in the 1980's

We worked in the garden harvesting things and Ken worked in the raspberries taking out the old canes. We are going to transplant them to the new garden we are making at my house...which will become our house in the near future. We are already taking garden things there to store because our springs are always late living near the lake and it is a big deep freezer in the springtime. Right now it is keeping us warmer that the city...by about 5 degrees. it is about 22C right now. The water temperature.

We had a huge storm yesterday...with gale force winds that made the level of the lake jump 10 feet in places. We are fortunate that this house is on a high bank that over looks the lake. Ken had to check and make sure his kayyaks were still on the bank..high up. We will miss the view and the convenience of being right by the lake...but my house will be much more suitable for us. Smaller and cheaper to heat. We have some renovations and repairs to do, but Ken likes projects. He hasn't listed this house yet...might rent it and wait to spring to sell.

How nice to buy a love seat for you. We bought one last fall. It is really nice to cuddle up in too...does it have foot rests too? Ours does and it is so comfy.

Well it is supper time and I must get cooking. I wish you both a lovely evening cuddling up in your love seat and watching the telly together! How about a photo of the new love seat?

Have a good evening,
Love to you both,
Nancy
