VISION

We look beyond our own understanding to catch a new vision of the future.

Religion as we have understood it is slowly fading and hopefully changing to be more inclusive;
but the Spirit has the power to breath new life into it.

Four wisdom's
The wisdom of religion
The wisdom of philosophy
The wisdom of science
The wisdom of nature.

Also the ancient wisdom of women is now being given a place, although Wisdom in the Bible is called She.   I believe that spiritual life, expressed in different ways, will always be a part of human nature.  An awesome alive sense that there is more to life,  than humanly we can see or experience.  We live in a materialistic world most of the time.

"We need to cease our industrial assault on the planet and "renew our human participation in the grand liturgy of the universe.|"  It is time to take into account the needs of all life forms.
Thomas Berry,

This is the good news of Christmas!

The facts are that here on the West Coast it is common to reject religious institutions and opt for either atheism or considering oneself spiritual but not religious.  The other reason according to Douglas Todd is the fact families are just too busy.  When I hear that I think that most of us can find time to do what we want to do.

Dad and I finally got together with Jane and Geof for lunch and it was so much fun just chatting away together, not worrying just relaxing.  Yes, we met at the White Spot which they have up-dated and it looks good.  They are also very careful and helpful about the food that is gluten free.

Christmas is coming and the only presents I have bought are for the food bank.  I want to give to those who have so little when we have everything.

Yes, Shandel it would be good to skype.  We are at Sandra and Randy's Christmas Eve and home here Christmas day; although we may visit our friend Cathy and Glen.  We have seen all their children grow up and helped them through some difficult times.  Five girls! ! Now three are married with babies and the youngest two in college, moved out on their own.  Unbelievable!  !
Yes I did go for a short walk in the snow. It is still snowing at 10:30

Hi, Morgan has been very sick and spent Tuesday with Mikie and Grandpa Chuck. Ben was sick to his stomack on Sunday night I guess he ate too much. So Theresa stayed home with them both on Monday.

Thank goodness Theresa and Mikie were able to have a date night on Tuesday night just what the doctor ordered.

Food bank is good.

I was having a Joke about with some one at work about what we would say if Jesus came back today and we had to explain to him about what Christmas was about (mad bargain shoppers running over homeless people dying in the gutter and all that) I'm sure he would say, "Oh. I guess the Devil won after all"

Love,

Rick
