FAREWELLS

It is amazing all the different shades of green.  We are so fortunate to still have green ever greens and grass around.  A dull cool morning but not raining.

Dad had a very painful night but he worked too hard getting his table stronger in our bedroom.
Very thankful the doctor was helpful and his stomach is finally settling down.

Yes we had a quiet evening last night sitting across from each other at our little table with tears in our eyes.  Our thoughts in the morning would be with her flying high on her trip home.
We value any time spent with family especially, any time short or long
I am constantly reminded how much love has been woven into our lives by our children, grand children and the greats!

Love is always a gift!

I am thankful to be inless pain.

My prayer for you all is to take care of yourself first!

Only then can we help others.  Kind words and honest evaluations are healing!

And all that green will look even better in the sunshine tomorrow! I can not wait to get out in the yard.
It is always so sad to see children leave, the good news is Carol will be back this summer.
I will pop by sometime tomorrow and check to see how you are doing in person.

I am sure you are missing Carol. It as very kind of her to take the time off work to come and help. It is good to know that she will be back in the summer.
You are lucky to have Sandra to come by and check in with you.

How did you make out today, on your own? Did you have home care come in or a nurse?

I was sorry to hear that Larry wasn't well last night. Pain is so debilitating.

Green and working in the yard is just a dream for us...but the crisp clear cold air is so invigorating. I really like it. As long as you dress for the weather you are ok. It was -25 when i went out today to take the dogs for a short walk...they 'freeze up'. 5 minutes is enough for them.

Then I stayed outdoors and worked on the bird feeders. had to repair a couple.
Before I rounded the corner of the house with the shelled peanuts the chickadees were landing on my hat and two on my hand carrying the tin with the peanuts. They are just so darned cute.

Our son, Bob, who is staying with us did a lot of repairs that needed to be done for a long time. I helped out as I could. He moved some large bookcases into the shop and repaired some kitchen cupboards and drawers that were coming apart. They are so old now...42 years. And they have had a lot of use over the years with me home cooking for the family and the construction crews and clients.

Have you watched a British tv series called My Uncle McCarthy? It is so darned funny. It takes place in Ireland where a English major in the army has been sent to be a magistrate.
I haven't laughed so much in a long time. There are quite a few episodes and I highly recommend them to you.

i am going to watch more now..on the Acorn App on my iPad. I cast it to my tv using chromecast.

Have a good nights sleep you too, with no pain and a solid sleep,

Love to you both,
Nancy

Green is a beautiful color, The true essence of mother nature. So much life in the color green. I hope you are feeling better and healing. I am catching up on your blog. Wishing we lived closer to be able to help and visit. I am sending love and gratitude that you have many family members and friends close to help and keep company (good company!) We look forward to our visit in the summer. Warmer months are ahead!
Lots of love,
Shandel

Dad's table by the window is wonderful thing.

I hope the NurseNextDoor people can find someone more appropriate in the very near future. You do very obviously need someone who can go up and down those stairs a dozen times a day. Don't forget to ask them about help for the visit to the Pattison centre (whatever it is called) on January 18th, which isn't far off now.

It was nice in Heartbeat that the father and daughter were reconciled in the end. Too bad that David split his pants.

My landlords have invited me for dinner upstairs, which is very nice. I don't feel quite up to it in some way, but I can't become a hermit, so I've accepted their invitation. Back to work tomorrow - I will see how that goes.

Love,

Rick
