DEEPER

I was sure I might set the church on fire when I lit a candle and said a prayer for dad.  He was not feeling well.  We were a smaller group because of the cold weather and the threat of snow.  Our friends were there, Pat and John and I thought they may drop over after wards but they did not.
We did have a visit from Sandra and Randy who had dropped a kitten off at the shelter thinking it had a home but that did not work out.  Off they rushed to pick it up again.  Who is it harder on the kitten or Randy or Sandra?\\

"The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and becoming the work of becoming yourself,"  -  Anna Quindlen

This requires us to look at our past with compassion but also with the willingness to dig deeper.

"Unexpressed emotions will never die
They are buried alive and will come forth later
in uglier ways.  -Sigmund Freud.

"Facing our inner emptiness opens the way for a newer existence.   -Henri J. Nouwen

I am thankful it did not snow until after I got home.
It has been snowing all afternoon.  Yes it is lovely to look out upon but digging out can be hard work!

We went and got the kitten and were just driving away when the lady came running out to tell us that the new owner did have approval to have the cat and so she grabbed her out of the car and off we drove.
Kind of exhausting and on us and the kitten.
Lots of snow at our house, not looking forward to the drive in the morning at all.

My goodness you so have a lot of snow and I know you are not prepared for it! You meaning people who live in the west coast. I remember trying to drive in it and it was pretty scary with the locals not having snow tires and never cleaned the snow off their cars except for a peep hole to see out of. We stayed at our condo in Parksville.

I saw the dentist and unfortunately I have to see a specialist...in Winnipeg. In the meantime it is still sore. I had a CT scan...that is kind of weird. standing there while this thing encircles you. biting down on something. Takes 5 minutes.

Too bad about the adoption for the kitten falling through...Sandra and Randy are such good people aren't they?

I am working on some workshops...have to advertise them. Teens and Adults. we are going to do a nature painting for each month of the year and make a calendar in December. Great for gift giving. Something uniques.

Well i am off to my home with Ken now...just spending an hour here to do some things...I am cleaning my house and down sizing..a lot for the thrift store and garbage too.

I will try and write soon again,

Love, Nancy
