Our goal has been to find some more over-all pants for dad and some new boots. We tried Tsawwassen Mills the other day and today we tried White Rock after looking at Mark's. All the clerks have been so helpful and the shoe stores even gave us names of other stores to try. We did not feel like going to Guildford today but may try to-morrow.
It would seem like these goals are not going to be easy.
Some worthy goals are difficult and time consuming but with perseverance we will find what we are looking for. We will continue to ask for help along each step of the way.
To-night we have our candles and flashlights all ready in case the power goes out with the high wind.
Some goals are easily defined but others are a part of our search for authenticity.
I like what I am reading about spirituality that can be defined in many different ways.
"Spirituality is recognizing and celebrating that we are all inextricably connected to one another by a power greater than all of us and that our connection to that power and to one another is grounded in love and compassion." -Brene Brown.
Healing comes gradually with spirit and connection with others and with God for me.

Saw Dr Notle yesterday and now he thinks maybe I have some growth on a nerve or something. Getting sent to a new specialist, hope it does not take 2 years.

That is not good.
Does the pain come and go?
Hope you can get into the specialist right away.
Pain is not good.

Setting goals and achieving them are always a good thing and even if we don't achieve them, we learned from trying!
I planned on reading your blog daily as I used to Beth and my time just seems to run out by the end of the day. I spend a lot less time on the computer or iPad these days, since Carl passed away. Always have something to do, it seems. Which I am very thankful for.
It is good to know that you and Larry are doing well. I will read the rest of your blogs to catch up, this evening.
I am getting my house ready to sell and after living here for 43 years, it is a challenge. Every day I try to get one box and a garbage bag done. I come here for a couple of hours a day. We are re painting the kitchen cabinets and putting new hardware too so they will lookd presentable.
My partner, Ken and I are talking about building a small house for us here, on a forest acreage he owns. And spending the winter out on Vancouver Island. We will both sell our homes here. It seems like the best of both worlds. We would buy an older car and leave it out there and also have a storage locker for our things. Then fly out rather than drive in winter. I Have done that many times and we have had some pretty scary experiences.
How are you feeling Beth? Is the Celiac disease under control? I have been having a hard time...but think it may have been an infection from Mexican food. I am going for a colonoscopy soon..yuk.
Ken and I were watching a group of bucks, this morning in his yard. There was a huge old buck with a large rack of antlers...and there were three smaller bucks who had lost their antlers. They respect the old guy with the rack...but they were in a playful mood and enjoying the sun. The old buck put down his head and butted on of the young bucks...the your fella cavoted like horse and kicked his hind legs in the air and frisked around the yard going sideways and up and down...we laughed so hard...this continued for a half hour or so and they all played together..pretending to challenge each other and play. It was awesome to see and we said...it is a wonderful gift to be privliged to watch this.
Our weather has been bitterly cold for the deer and us too. We went to Winnipeg with Ken's truck on thursday and it is not very good on ice or snow. The streets were terribly slippery and just as we moved to a turning lane the truck took off on ice and swung around and we ended up iin the ditch with two other who wre already there. We were very lucky we weren't hit by other cars as it was busy. We couldn't get out and we face into traffic. We called CAA and as we waited we watched other vehicles hit the same ice and lose control and head straight for us,,,.it was scary. But it all worked out well when we were towed out by good samaritans. First time either one of us hit the ditch! we just missed a hydro pole too! Angels were watching out for us.
How is Larry doing with his neualgia and tummy problems? I hope much better.
Well I ahve to go back to my home now...along the lake. It is time to make dinner.

I hope to be more present on your blog Beth...I do miss reading it and writing to you,
If we do come out to the Island we will stop in for a visit with you and Larry. Would love to meet you both.
Love to all,
Nancy
