ASSIGNMENT

Sometimes the world seems up side down.
I have now been assigned the duty of making sure
dad takes his hormone shot.
His doctor phoned today and asked to speak to me after
he had explained to dad what he needed to do.
We both know dad does not like these shots one bit.
My assignment is to make sure he does this.

Maybe some one should be assigned to me!

Last week was exhausting with the long days at the eye clinic and then the worry about the pain in his chest.  I had been assigned the duty of getting him to the emergency.  What a relief to know that he was okay for now.

Next week he has his cataract surgery on Monday and he should get his shot in the next day or so.

I read the best way to feel happy is to make others happy.

This cultivates a warm and caring and compassionate heart.

Happiness is spending time at the park with our church family to celebrate the old tradition of the strawberry tea.  We bring our own desert.

Happiness is spending time with family on Father's day.

Happiness is receiving a card in the mail with heart warming words.
Thanks Rick.

Sounds like a lot to keep track of, maybe you need a personal secretary.

I was thinking about the strawberry tea, wondering how you all would feel about missing it.

Another long stressful day at work.

The strawberry Tea was a great memory.

We get through these stressful days
one way or another!

This will get easier I hope.

Poor dad having to take hormone shots again, does that mean the prostate cancer is playing up
? More covid cases here in Melbourne not helping my getting back to work . With any luck they will play some NHL games in Vancouver..as a Hub City!

You have done well with your assignment Beth...you got Larry to emergency. I think you need a reward, knowing how difficult it is to get a man to do that! It is tough getting old..things start to fail and we just have to accept it don't we? But that isn't easy.

I was lying in the Gamma Ray machine thinking how fortunate we are to have all these medical things available to us...if we lived in the USA we may not have medical insurance...or we wouldn't have some of the procedures covered. Ken is American, although a naturalized Canadian now. He has lived here for almost 50 years. He knows first hand what it is like for medical care there. His step sons and family live there and their medical insurance is expensive.

He already has a weeks rental for his cottage...yay. It just went on the rental market. We are setting things up tomorrow...a huge chore. but we have help. We bought a lot of things in Winnipeg the last few days and rented a uhaul truck to bring out furniture and beds.

Poor Larry, I feel sorry for him having to have those hormone shots too. A friend of mine has to have them and the side effects and nasty too...but it is necessary in order to feel well. Sending you a big hug Larry...YOU "got " this!

Well I am going to say goodnight...I am tired again after the stress test today and all the shopping...but it is good to be busy.

Have a good sleep and don't worry about things..take each day at a time. As I say to my watercolour class, "Go with the flow".

Love to you both,
Nancy

Ken
That is a worry about your work.

My paper girl tells me as she drops off the paper she hates this virus.

Nancy You will be glad that test is done.

Hopefully you will receive helpful news.

You are keeping busy that is for sure.
