UNFINISHED

Yes we had a very humbling day.
Had great plans shopping and then to Carol and Panteli's for supper.
We got off to a good start driving to Art Naps
dad wanted to buy me something new
and we were looking for a birthday present and a few plants.

Dad was very happy picking out some beautiful things.  The only trouble was they were too short and too youthful.  We finally agreed when dad started not feeling too good.  We come home and I suggest we eat but he said he was not hungry.  When I returned from walking Spenser he was in bed.  Both eyes were hurting and he was too tired to drive to Tsawwassen.  I was disappointed because by then I was very hungry and looking for to having a good home cooked meal.

Dad fell asleep and slept for several hours.

The good think was we were awake and at home when Ken and Melina phoned.  They had been at the hospital with Jasmine getting blood tests and a referral to a specialist.  He will test her for celiac.  She cannot change her diet before she has a test.  They were told before they went only one of them would be allowed to be with her, because of the virus, but when they got their both could be with her.

We had a good long talk with them both.  Dad tells them we are fine which is a cheerful thing to say but not really the truth of our reality.  There are times when it is okay to share your weakness and your failing health issues.

I have often connected to others more when I share my weaknesses and problems.  I may a lost key or a worry about the insecurity of my day.  Try to put on a happy ever ending face can drain one of energy.  It is good to listen and understand that we share so much of the problems of daily life.

Today dad has a phone visit with his skin cancer doctor and we need to buy some food.

I wake up early but dad turns on the radio and goes back to sleep.

Another rainy morning.  Spenser does not like walking in the rain.

Dad and I are learning to rest more and not worry about unfinished tasks!

Oh, dear. Not a good day. Hopefully today is better.

I agree that putting a happy outlook on things may generally be okay, but we should not take it too far.

A bad sign when people go back to bed in the middle of the day.

Good that Kenny and Melina called. Jasmine is such a sweet thing I hope they get it figured out what is going on with her stomach.

There is a sushi place near me know and I am getting stuff from them now and then. Get the tuna rolls and such. Much lighter than the stuff I usually get.

I am feeling dreadful. Just came back from the doctor. He says I don't have diabetes. He will send me to a "kidney clinic" at the hospital here in Kamloops. I didn't know there was such a thing.

Christopher is cranky but at least he is back with full-time hours now. He never did get any money from CERB, which he probably should have. He also decided back in April to quarantine himself for two weeks.

It is raining here again, which is unusual.

Love,

Rick

I guess it is good news about the diebet.eus but you need to find out what is wrong.

I hope you can get into that clinic quickly

It is time for you to get some answers.

Sunny but cold here , 0c overnight. We got to school too early today. Traffic is hard to judge with so many people working from home now. There is pressure from New Zealand for us to open our boarders and start flying again. Looks like they will be bring people back to work in the next 4 weeks or so with domestic flying opening up .We have applied for high schools for Matthew , we find out in August where he has been accepted and my try and move closer .

Early but not quite early enough. That is too bad you did not get to go to supper, I will call tomorrow to see if you want a ride for Kimberlys birthday dinner.

I had to come home at noon today to have our new furnace looked at again. It is not very quiet and that was the best thing about our old one. The man determined that we need more air to get in and so they are going to cut a hole in our wall and put in a another vent.

So did you end up buying anything before you left Art's?

Rick has talked to Christopher? Well that is good. Foolish of him to accept money if he was laid off because of Covid.

Day cares are being allowed to reopen in Ontario on Friday so fingers crossed Mary goes back to work soon.

No Sandra we did not do any more shopping.

Too bad about your furnace.

Seems like there is always something to do or be fixed.
