HAPPINESS

Happy Canada Day.
It did not promise any sunny moments.

I was surprised to see several groups of people with papers in their hand on a treasure hunt.  They were middle aged and having a fun time.  When we passed I responded to their Happy Canada
Day and felt happy just seeing them all.  The few others we met surried by us wanting to get home before the rain started.  Spencer just stepped in the door before the down-pour happened.

Happiness is cachey.

It would be a disappointing day for any who had planned out door activities.

It appears they are being serious closing everything down in Melbourne.  We found it difficult to have to stay home.

Tasha was not concerned that we had a moment to feel close to each other.  Yes, I know we are in different bubbles.

Years ago we always would go down to Gastown and Granville to celebrate the day.  I love walking by the small stores and seeing lots of happy people.

Dad never seems to get hungry while I am always hungry.  Then after supper he gets hungry for cookies and ice cream and chips.  I try not to join him.

Both Spenser and I are ready for a nap when we get home.  It is easier on a rainy day not to feel guilty.

Our goal is to age gracefully but that is not easy when you cannot do as much as you use to do.  We do our best and leave the rest for another day or for some one to come in and do it.
I am learning to be happy having help/

We do our best to keep healthy and enjoy moments of happiness and contentment together.

Another day in lock down !!! grey and cold with showers .Perfect day for Netflix. I listen to the vancouver sports radio before i get up in the morning . Sounds like there is positive signs that the NHL will return . Edmonton should be one of the hubs ! We have a tree that has popped up on our fence line ,I hate to cut it down but its growing in the wrong spot .
Have a nice day.

It is no fun to have all this rain, but after the few very dry summers we have had with so many trees and shrubs dieing I kind of dont mind. Plus with no family coming to visit I am kind of blah about the summer anyways, just want this year to be over and done with and maybe next year will be better.

Kittens are finally getting a meet and greet at the shelter. If suitable homes are found they could be gone by Monday.
