SIMPLE

I am thankful for the rain.
                                                           Watering has become a chore.
Yes today the visit to the eye doctor in White Rock is a simple visit just to talk.  Information about the cataract surgery.  He has already had one eye done and has all the information about before and after surgery.  It is the last appointment of the day so it will be a long wait.  The waiting room is a very drab place but I will not be allowed in.

To-morrow Carol will drive us into Van. for dad eye surgery.  He has to be there over an hour early.  There will be many people sitting in the chairs also waiting to hear their name called.

He knows how painful the needles will be and how vulnerable it feels to have some one cutting around your eye.  There wall also be a skin graft from his shoulder.  He is not worried about that cut.

This is not a simple operation and he is trusting this doctor to have steady hands and lots of experience.  He is a very serious doctor and that is good.

There are times when you wished you did not know what you will have to go through.

Yes at times we walk on through the rain trying to keep hope alive in our souls.

I believe we do not walk alone because the Scripture reaffirms that His Presence goes with us.

At times like these I believe a simple faith and trust is good.  It gives us courage and strength.

Yes, the rain is always welcome after a hot spell.

I hope the eye-surgery goes smoothly for Dad.

I had a pulmonary breath test at the hospital yesterday. They stopped the test for a while as I looked (and felt) like I was going to faint. Was very tired when I got home and went to bed at 8:30 pm.

Love,

Rick

Yes dad is worried about his eye surgery.
It will be good when it is over.

We had a long day at the other eye doctor today.
I waited in the car for an hour and a half.

Good to be home.

Rick when will you get some results?

Love mom
