IMPERFECTIONS

Life is full of imperfections.
Weeds grow among the flowers and nothing can seem to stop them.

It is not easy but sometimes you have to decide what people belong in your life and when it is times to recognize that we all change and sometimes that means drifting apart for awhile.  On the other hand there are poeple who gift your life with unconditional love and grace and who your appreciation for them grows and strengthens your friendship.

Why is a certain person upsetting me?

Why is this person affirming me and bringing me love and happiness?

In marrage we vow to live through the good times and the bad and if they are times in which we both grow then that is good.  A seeker after truth learns from the mistakes of the past and continues to discover goodness in our day to day lives.

Yesterday we enjoyed the visit with Ava, Tavia and little Yuri who uses sign language to tell you things.  He is so curious and had a great time emptying our play drawer and trying out everything he could.  It was a fun visit but I was ready for a nap afterward.

Our study group was very agreeable and I think I learned that it is dangerous to isolate religious ideas from contemporary thought.    Also we agreed that there is within each of us an original impulse that draws us to the wonder and mystery of the spiritual.  There is value in ritual that helps us to express what we cannot put into words.

Life is imperfect because within the human heart good and evil are entwined.  Great intelligence does not get rid of all the weeds only the desire to improve can do that.

Heaven is the promise where we will walk in the beauty of truth and understanding  and find redemption!

YES IT WAS SO NICE TO HAVE THE VISIT FROM THE GIRLS AND YURI - THEY DO BRIGHTEN ONES DAY.

I THINK WE BOTH HAVE HAD A HEAVEY HEART THE PAST FEW DAYS - BUT SOMETIMES IT IS BETTER TO CHANGE THE WAY A FRIENDSHIP PROGRESES THAN CONTINUE ALONG THE SAME PATH WHEN ONE KNOWS THERE IS A DEEP SEATED FUNDAMENTAL DISSAGREEMENT IN PHILOSOPHY AND WORLD VIEW.
