THE UNKNOWN

On the Cross Jesus poured himself out  and suffered.
Yes, the cross is now empty but we are left with a powerful message.
One of the greatest agonies of life can be facing the unknown.

Life holds both wonderful joyous experiences but also exhausting and difficult times when the future seems bleak.  Growth and transformation seem to happen as we look back and see what we have survived.

"Above all remember that the meaning of life is to live it as if it were a work of art. . . . .
Start working on this great work of art called your own existence."  Abraham Joshua Heschel

I do not like making decisions or choices.  Right now I have to decide whether to stop wearing long underwear.  You may laugh but it is cold first thing in the morning,  Every day I have to decide how far I should walk always remembering going down is easier than the walk back.  hen there was the choice of runners from about 40 pairs hanging on the wall.  I have this negative feeling that I will make the wrong choice and time will tell.  Maybe I should have tried 38 more on to be sure!

Cannot wear them until it stops raining because they will get dirty.

Did some gardening before before the rain started and before going visiting.  First dropped off the milkshake then carried on with dad to visit Jane in Surrey Hospital.  Looked very tired but chipper as usual.  That hospital is a disaster especially if you take the wrong elevator and forget the room number.

Dad now has a sore shoulder and his feet are worse again.  We wish we knew what is the best thing to do.  I think short walks for him would be advisable.  Anyway he did lots of walking today and then was off  to take his course in Delta for the Hospice.  Got home in time to watch the last of the hockey game.  Good game.  We won!

At the end of the day I was home alone!  Friday dad is off to the doctor to have his prescription for Pariett refilled.

Spirituality is not to be learned from flight from the world, or by running away from things, or from turning solitary and going apart from the world.  Rather we must learn an inner solitude wherever or with whomsoever we may be.
We must learn to enter in and find God there."     Meister Eckhart.

I say keep wearing the long underwear for now.

It will come as no surprise to you that I think the cross is the mistaken image in Christianity.

Well, eventually the new runners are going to get a bit dirty, so might as well wear them all the time.

Love,

Rick

We watched the hockey game too and were sad that the Canucks put a stop to the Oilers winning streak. lol we wopped their tushes last time haha
oh well.
I hope we can still make it into the playoffs.
Sorry to hear Grandpa has pain again....seems to come and go?
We received more snow this morning. And they are calling for terrible road conditions. I was glad though, that i drove to Wabamun School yesterday and not today. Hopefully the sun can make its way out over the weekend and we can melt the snow again. Seems like a never ending process. I have hope that Spring will show up and Summer too. LOL other wise we are moving somewhere warm if Winter thinks it should be here year round!
have a good day.
