BELIEVERS

I do not know what to believe about a lot of things.

I do know that what we believe does affect or should affect our actions.  Traditional theology has become less important to me atthis time. You can't believe just because some one else may want you to do.  A hard lesson for me to learn as I was hopeful that my faith would live on in my family.

I do need to learn more about ancient biblical writings, not only what is in the Bible but what other scholars have written about those times and the culture.  Certainly the disciples of Jesus knew their mission after his death was to convert people.
Our library is full of stories and so is the Bible.

If you say you longer find dogma to be so important I do not really understand why you feel the need to look at the old testament? When it comes to wisdom and words to live by you dont need to go back thousands of years to find food for thought.

Saw Dr Nolte yesterday and he gave me hope that if we keep treating the inflammation my arm may be back to normal soon.

Sandra have you tried taking Vit E? I had a frozen shoulder for quite a few months and it really helped. Not sure what is happening with you, but thought I would mention it?

I am a BELIEVER in miracles! I am so happy...my Iraqi family, who are my friends are going to be coming to Canada in two months...tears of joy for them! They have been waiting for over two years in a refugee camp in Turkey. Lovely people...a Father, ABdullah and his wife and 5 children. He sends me little videos of their smallest daughter dancing to Arabic music and it is so cute. She is about 5. They will live in winnipeg and I will be at the airport to meet them along with the church family who will be sponsoring them. I will make a little stuffed lion for their youngest girl. Crochet it.
It was so cute..Abdullah put a Canadian flag with a person holding a suitcase on his facebook page...to announce he has been approved.

I saw a doctor at the Pine Falls clinic today and he will be my doctor. it is close by for us and I will be having to see him fairly often.

I am pretty sick...not sure what is happening...but he will send me to a neurologist or a rheumatologist depending on what the tests say. blood tests.

He is from Egypt and really liked Carl when he saw him. Carl has family in Egypt...doctors. He is Muslim and fasting today so I assume Ramadan is on now.
I took a giclee print of my painting of the wolf in the winter...it is a gift to the hospital for the mantle on the fireplace in the waiting room. I donated one before and they raffled it off and said the mantle looked bare...soo this will be permanent. i wish I could post a photo here for you to see.

I do like the stories in the old testaments....but know now not to take them literally.
If wwe have to sell the house and move to winnipeg I will check out St. John's anglican church where my parents were married 82 years ago. It is the oldest one in winnipeg.

Maybe it is just religion that hasn't lived on in your family...but I hear a lot of faith in the comments...all good things that have been passed down from you Beth. Religion is going the way of the dodo bird I think. But faith will live on forever.

My dog Bella is snoring at my feet...she always has snored and now that she is older she snores more loudly and often...somehow it is comforting. I am so used to it. Her brother doens't snore at all. But as they get older they are definitely more needy. Which is just fine! More hugs and kisses.

I am going to watch the jets play the Predators now. they are a tough team but the jets have been on a long winning streak and are right in the top of their division.

have a lovely evening,

Love,
Nancy
