SNOWED IN

The snow is getting heavier and thicker.
No one is at the park today but we met Lucy and Anetta on our way home.  Lucy is the dog.   Anetta will walk with me when Ken leaves.  We are not sure about getting to the airport for 8 in the morning in the snow etc.but that is the plan.   It is just as well Hamlet did not come this week-end.

We decided not to drive to Sandra's which was very disappointing for everyone.

oooh that looks mighty slippery. Wise choice to stay home. Too bad it had to snow when Ken was visiting...but he can take home some good photos for his kids! I bet they haven't seen snow, have they?

That sure is nice to have Ken go for walks with you, Beth. I hope you have good gripping boots. Or those ice grippers you can stretch over your boots...they are really good, but just don't wear them in the house or you go for a big fall...mighty slippery on floors! I know...it happened to me!

My goodness that is a lot of snowy days for you. I remember that happening one year when we stayed in Qualicum Beach...it seemed to snow for a week. We were driving down to Nanaimo on bad roads and saw too many close calls and turned around for home. We were fine, but boy were there ever a couple of bad accidents, caused by crazy drivers going too fast and skidding and losing control.

Carl's eye test went well....it only took 10 minutes. They use a special machine to look at the retina etc. We just drove in to Winnipeg and back home. No other stops. Carl wants to drive, but I won't let him unless it is around here. His reflexes are too slow and his thinking is slow too. Ok for going to the store, because he knows the area so well and it is only a mile. He is lucky I can do all the driving, quite a few of my friends don't drive in the city.

Too bad you weren't able to get over to Sandra's house and I guess Ken is leaving in the morning. I wish him a good trip back home. I am sure he misses his family and they miss him! Hoping for good roads too so you can have an easy drive to the airport. Bon voyage Ken.

I think we are all going to suffer from withdrawal from the Olympics...it has been a fabulous two weeks hasn't it? I was thinking I sure hope I am still alive for the next winter Olympics in 2022. I am not sure where they are to be held, but hope North America where the times are much better for us! I got up at 6am to watch the Canadian Germany hockey game and they lost...

Well I wish you a good sleep tonight,

Love to all,
Nancy

Kenny is still planning on leaving this morning? We have a LOT of snow at our house this morning. Still dark so cannot tell if it is still snowing.
