EXPLORATION

P2181718
Yes, it is good to see the early morning light!

This is dad riding his bike to explore on his 80th birthday!

Exploration is more important than indoctrination that is so commonly used by religion.
I want my faith to be alive with the willingness to explore with humility and grace the truth that has been hidden by indoctrination.

"The beauty of Creation, the stunning capacity of the human mind, the complexity of it all are often cited as proof of God's existence; but each of these wonders have scientific explanations that many find more plausible than divine providence."

"If the church has a future, it will lie in the ability to inspire it's members to refuse to uncritically accept the settled answers of the past, resist the pressure to conform, and revere the continued search for meaning."  -Philip Gully

Exploration honors God of the past and God of the future, the One who is much more that we can even imagine.

Exploration is the way for everyone to discover in their own way and time the secrets of the spiritual journey.

Exploration means I will not completely agree with all that others say.

Went to the dentist and then off for a drive into the countryside seeing everything from farm animals like fat woolly sheep lying in the sun to sleek horses grazing on the green grass and contented cows that provide ice cream for the shop out at the front of the yard.  Dad and I did not stop this time but next time we will.

A very relaxing day.  Getting ready for the family gathering on Sat.

Life has been good when you reach the goal of living to 80  and can still ride an electric bike! !

It is hard to believe he is 80!

Happy Birthday Dear!

Yes, Happy Birthday Dad! I wonder how many people who are born never make it to 80, let alone a happy healthyish 80!

See you all on Saturday, busy with work, busy with my school already, slept in and have to get out and walk the doggies.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Bennett. It is amazing to celebrate birthday's every year. Its a blessing to grow old. And you are such a blessing to our family. Cameron and I sent a card in the mail, but i never seem to send things on time. So i hope it arrives sooner then later, before the birthday excitement settles.

Exploration.....i wish our church would explore new ways instead of being stuck in the dark ages. At one time we talked about taking out the pews and using chairs so they could be used in different ways. Which would be much more versatile.

I took Bella and Max to the groomers about a 110 km trip in -30 weather now and felt so badly for them...they had so many changes in their little lives...homes, rescues, fosters and our forever home. I think they thought I was abandoning them. They cried and squealed...not happy. It was very hard to leave them at the groomers....and they got their winter coats all cut off...they had some matts....now they will be so cold outside...so it will be just a minute out and not walks until it warms up. EVen with their coats it will be too cold on their paws and legs.

Larry looks very happy on his bike....isn't it wonderful that he has it to get around on.

Are you taking Larry out for his birthday or having a family party. Reaching 80 is quite a milestone.
Happy Birthday to you Larry.

Love, Nancy

It is a milestone that is for sure. Panteli and Carol want to take us out for supper but the big family affair will be on Sat. Rick is coming from Kamloops and our family and the family of five girls that we adopted years ago.
We will be having the party at Carol and Panteli's new home. Kim is helping to host it.
Larry had a big 20 k bike ride, his longest so far. I cut the lawn while he was gone. It looked straggly and some places very hard to cut.
Thanks for the good wishes.
