HORRIFIC

We live in a beautiful world where most of our days are pretty predictable.  We feel safe until crime touches our lives and make us feel vulnerable.

We have to look for solutions and make some changes.

Yesterday Dad journey down to the liquor store to restore our empty self.  He ended up with very sore feet and a box of wine to heavy to be carried.  Did he get help well not until he demanded it.

Then after all that we forgot to take wine to Carol and Panteli's for his birthday supper.  The pictures of the fancy cake are refusing to download because it wants to do other things.  Success after a lot of tries.

As we had been getting ready to leave we heard the tragic news on the radio of the killings in Paris.

The shocking executions and explosions were immediately spread on the news around the world.

War was devastating but these terror attacks are bringing the battlefield right to where ordinary people live and work and play.  In both the innocent suffer  ".An outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians."    -  Obama

We grieve for families who have lost loved ones.

We hold our own so much closer in our love and thoughts and prayers.

We all have problems and yet if no one is hurt we can be so thankful.

None of us our saints but we all learn the same way by our past mistakes.

Kindness is a beautiful gift that we share with all.

Of course I am too young to remember the beginning of other wars, but this is starting to feel like something very drastic has to happen to shut down these people once and for all.

Shocking news reports from Paris....totally shocking. It makes us all feel so vulnerable doesn't it? Thinking the unthinkable, that one day this could happen in our wonderful country.
Do we keep our troops overseas ...helping to fight the fight....perhaps making our country a target too? Or do we bring them home and mind our own business? Hmmmm I sure don't have the answers.

Also, do we bring in the refugees from Syria and perhaps some infidels along with them? I don't know if Canada can do the proper screening in the short time they have allotted to bring them here. Gosh, what a hard decision it is....after all, our ancestors immigrated here from other countries and where would we be if they were not welcomed? Again I am on the fence....must leave it to those who have greater understanding and wisdom than me.

Nice to see the photos of Panteli and the fancy cake.
I am teaching art and music this afternoon....looking forward to it. We are going to work with watercolour and India ink and do a painting of Elk Island.....with Northern Lights overhead and a canoe and a campfire.

Wishing you both a great day,

Love, Nancy

.Just wanted to say, that foremost, my thoughts and prayers are with the people in France....for those injured, for those who lost family and friends, with the police, hospital and emergency workers. May God be with them
