SAFE NOT SORRY

An early start for dad and I as we drove down to the church to attend a meeting about safety.  A representative was there from the police to give us warning tips about the different scans that are going on around us.

These scan artists are getting smarter and know all the tricks.  A lot of information we already were aware of but it was good to be reminded that there are a lot of good people but also a lot of crooks who want to steal everything from our identity to the valuables we have in our homes.

Organizing a good meeting with time for discussion and questions is not always easy but a group of church women can do a great job.  We want to work together to make our world safer and also to preserve the values that bring out the best in each other.  It was a good morning.

We are reminded to be aware of what is happening around us whether it is when we are shopping or just out for a walk.  I am guilty of being careless especially if I try to hurry packing up my groceries and putting change away in my purse.  I now have a mantra that says take your time and do it right!

I am off to the urologist Thursday so that will be another early start.  It is just in White Rock so a short drive.  I am hoping I will think of the right questions to ask and take my time answering any questions truthfully.

Yup, there's a a lot of bad people out there. On my way to work yesterday there were about 4 police cars, 3 firetrucks and an ambulance on 120th, just before Brown's, newar the little side path to your house. Any idea what happened? Looked pretty serious. This was around 3:oo pm yesterday.

A great idea of the church ladies to have the information meeting for seniors. One can never be 'too careful' in these times. Our Senior Scene often has informational meetings too. One that I attended was for CPR and I found that very useful. I am planning some art lessons for seniors there. They do a great service for our community. A branch of the community library is located there too.

I wish you a good visit at the Urologist Beth. Hoping she can offer you help.

We saw Carl's Urologist yesterday for test results. He is scheduled for surgery on his prostate January 5th. BUT the CT scan of his urinary system showed he has an Aortic Aneurysm...which is quite large. He will be seeing a vascular surgeon soon and surgery will be scheduled. It will take precedence over the prostate surgery. Carl's brother had an Aortic Aneurysm and died alone, at home, while he was waiting for surgery. Gosh we miss him.
We are very glad they found the aneurysm, otherwise we would never have known about it. They are hereditary.

Yes, me too, Beth! I hurry and toss my bank card carelessly in my purse, when checking out with groceries...I need to take my time too!

We are expecting snow later today and overnight. The first of the season. Our birds know and are stocking up at the bird feeding station.

Love, Nancy

I will be adding Randy to my prayers and hope he can get in to the bone specialist very quickly. Too bd just when his daughter Adina is arriving.

Good news that Carl's aneurysm was found they are silent killers I think.

Difficult roads ahead for these two but thankfully family is there to support them.

Love Beth
