SNOW STORM?

A big gust of wind blew most of the cherry blossoms off our big cherry tree.  Looking out the glass doors it looked like a blizzard.  Sad to see them going so fast.
This is the creek at the end of Carol and Pantili's complex.  I got a nasty look when I took pictures of the trees there this spring.  I ignored it!  Nature should be shared.  I love it when people take pictures of my front garden.

It is not the first dirty look that has been sent my way and will not be the last!

Progress on our junk pile outside on the front lawn seems to be frozen as dad is not being helpful.  I took out an ironing board that I have no place to shore and falls on me in my clothes cupboard; and then I brought it back in.  Yes the answer is to put it in another cupboard.  The only time it is used is when Kenny comes for a visit.  I have three purses now that Simone gave me one so I was thinking I could  give one away but then I found money in it and I will keep it for awhile.

Pennies are good luck right.

Kim's last day at school and she has a bit of a cough but says she is okay and does not need to go to the doctor.

To-morrow Dad and I will be all the specialist in Van.  The time is not so good as it is at 9:30 so we will be in the midst of traffic and I hope and pray it will be a helpful visit.

Not getting much reading done,

"Many people, not only the authors, contribute to the making of a book.  From the first person who had the bright idea of alphabetic writing to the lumberjacks who felled the trees that were pulped for writing.

It is not customary to acknowledge the trees themselves,
though their commitment  is total.

Richard Forsyth

I hope to rekindle it.  I certainly will be taking a book to read at the doctor's

Ibelieve Carol and Panteli are planning to go to Australia next year.

Both Sandra and her are amazing grandmothers as well as good gardeners and great cooks!

Dad and all the children and grandchildren are supportive to me.  Also my sons-in-law!

Dad and I have the same goals of trying to keep active and healthy with our limitations.

Well, I will have to get all the latest news from Carol when we go make soup tonight. We truly are Soup Sisters!

The worst of the traffic seems to be about 6am these days, though it will still be heavy when you go.

Kenny can be wrinkly, or iron his clothes on the bed. Take out the ironing board and then just turn your back and walk away.

Did the couch make it out?

Isn't that a pretty little creek behind Carol and Panteli's home? How could someone give you a nasty look....boy there are some cranky people in this world. You are one of the really good ones, Beth and I am glad you just " blew the nasty look off".

I would give away my ironing board, but I keep thinking I will sew and need it. It never seems to happen though!

We had a bad day....we parked at the doctors at Fort Alexander ( the reserve ) and our son texted me to say, there was oil in our driveway so check the van....I went outside and looked in the clinic parking lot and there was about 2 quarts of oil on the driveway.

Went to call the tow truck and my cell died...even though it was fully charged when we left this morning... I was saying GRRRRRRR . I called a tow truck using the pharmacists phone and texted our son, Bob to pick us up. He had to take us to Pine Falls hospital so Carl could have xrays on his ribs. The doctor thinks they are broken from the fall he had on Saturday. so we are home and the van is at the mechanics shop....
BUT we sure had fun with the people waiting to see the doctor....visiting with them. It was a two hour wait!
We didn't know any of them, but the native folks are so friendly. They live in poor circumstances, but are always laughing and joking around.

The pharmacist is from Jordan, a Muslim, a fine man. He knows us and offered for his assistant to drive us home...that would be 25 minuntes one way...can you believe that? He brought his little daughter's art book for me to look at....she is 6 and what a lovely little story book..all illustrated too. He would like me to make it into a 'real book' as a birthday surprise for her. I just have to think about how I can do that!

I wish you a safe drive into Vancouver in all that traffic...I remember it well! May the neurologist find some answers and help for you Beth...you are in my prayers...both you and Larry.

Take care, my friends, may it be a good day tomorrow,

love,
Nancy

So the girls are making soup...that is one of my favourite things to do. It would be a good lunch for them to take to work. I wonder what kind they are making?
