Yesterday was a happy day although it rained so hard Tavia and I did not do the Water Shed Park as planned, but sat around and talked and ate instead. I learned a lot about her faith and she is very passionate about what she believes and it is giving her a focus for life. Taking some courses at college will help her find where she wants to put her energies in developing a career.
To celebrate Randy's birthday, I will not mention his age, we wined and dined with them at the Keg.
What a feast!
I was going to do some studying for our group that meets her to-morrow night. "The Case For God" is our book and faith and reason is the chapter. The philosophers brought their study of academics and then applied it to religion. The Muslims as well as the Jews approached religion as something to be proved and faith demanded reason.
There where always those who took a more mystical approach to their faith that allowed for imagination to bring the knowledge of God closer to the heart.
