FAILURE

Abraham is a product of his time when to save his own life he allows Sarah to be taken into the king Abimelech's harem. Where was his faith? Again the Lord God prevents harm coming to her after Abraham had placed in danger. He lied calling her his sister.  Again we see Abraham's erratic guidance system and his failure.  This was a time of people fighting for survival in a nomadic culture. 

 

Sometimes life is driven by energies too wild for us to ignore and too deep for us to hide.

 

Is this one of those stories that we tell to remind us what is important.  Abraham should not have run to Egypt and as a consequence found himself vulnerable.

 

Today is Valentines actually and we shared loving cards this morning but failed to go out; neither of us really felling up to it.  Dad looked after me and we had boiled eggs.

 

My computer is refusing to put pictures on again and we seemed to have failed in fixing this problem,

 

Jane brightened up our day with some gifts and that was a lovely surprise.
