CONSERVATION

Too rainy!

Maybe okay if you have webbed feet.

Both dad and I have been conserving our energy
today so we will have lots of energy to see the family!

I did not walk in the morning but stayed warm and dry reading and puttering,  just enjoying myself.

Dad and I went and did a big shopping at the Safeway for 10% day.  Came home and were too tired to cook and especially to clean up after.

Dad did go and get his blood test done and later walked over to the Insurance Office.

I went for a walk as the day turned dry and calm.

Those big grocery shopping trips can tucker one right out! It is a good thing you conserved your energy for the exciting time later with the family! A breakfast with them sounds wonderful. i can just imagine all the excitement with the little children.

We were going to the city today, but Carl isn't feeling well....still nauseous and we are waiting for the doctor to call.

WOW, the rain was really coming down in your photos...we have had rainy weather for the last month at least and it looks like it will continue. Unsettled weather, they call it with lots of storms riding along the jet stream. It isn't beach weather and between the lack of sunny and hot weather and all the bugs, I am sure the numbers of people here at the beaches are down.
I must go to the parking lot and talk to my nephew, who runs it.

Did you know the cottagers cannot drive to their cottages during the summer months? It makes the cottage area very safe and quiet. There must be a thousand cars parked at the lot. I grew up down there and know the sheer joy of no vehicles in the cottage area. It takes one back to days long ago, where everyone bikes, walks or takes a cab. Work vehicles are allowed, but they are strict. We didn't apply for a permit this summer, now that Carl's business is closed.

Wishing the Bennett clan a great breakfast together.....I can hear the fun from here!

Love, Nancy

I wish more people would ride bikes or walk there are too many cars on the road.

Hope Carl gets some relief nausea is miserable.
