A proud grandpa and a proud daddy!
It was a busy week-end with Rick visiting and then our big family gathering. The babies are adorable and their parents are very good at taking care of their little ones.
Michael John did exceptionally well in his race achieving his best time in 3 hours 4 min. in the
marathon Mary also ran well in her 8 k race with 37 minutes.
Rick went to church with us after going for a walk with me.
Our lives will settle down to normal now I am sure.

How nice to have your son go for a walk with you and then to church...that is special!
We had a birthday party for Bob, yesterday...just four of us. Our family is so small. Our one granddaughter had to work. Still it was nice and we had lots of laughs. Pizza, salad, and burgers. Vegetarian pizza for Bob. Black Forest cake from Safeway for dessert. Easey peasey for me!

Yes it is wonderful to be with family and we have vegetarians and celiacs too.
I find it a bit over-whelming and have to be so very careful not to step on toys or babies or toes.
I really look forward to visits that are more intimate.
But I am so thankful for each one.

I think everyone got enough to eat. The race was the priority for the day and food was only second. A busy week for us all, getting our schedule all figured out. We are thinking of dropping over tomorrow morning. Sandra

There was plenty to eat and it was great to celebrate both Michael John's and Mary's running.
