FRIENDSHIP

P3020102
Dad and I have invited Vera over to our house for lunch.  A lovely warm spring-like day.

Our friend Vera would wear beautiful colours like this.  She is full of life and character.  She wears high heels (or use to) and a blonde wig because her hair is falling out.  She love to entertain in her beautiful home and it was difficult to move to a seniors complex when Howard started to deteriorate.

When we visited him he had had several stokes and had a hard time talking and moving sat in a big chair that helped you get out.  We went once a week to enable Vera to go out for awhile as it was not safe to leave him alone.

Fortunately they had a beautiful apartment with windows all around that looked out on a garden of flowers and blooming fruit trees to move into.  They even had their own side door to go out to the yard.

One day dad went to stay with Howard on his own as I had a bad headache and stay home.  Dad found it very stressful as Howard was having a bad day too.  Dad came home and was having a T.I.A as he came into the bedroom and could not make any sense of what he was trying to say.  He had had no lunch so I suggested he should eat something but he could not move his arm (he did not tell me) and said he just wanted to go to bed.  I asked him if he was okay and he said yes.  We should have gone to the hospital.  Sandra made us go when she heard about it.

Vera has now become a good friend and we had fun having lunch with her.

Carol and Panteli asked us over for supper so after a little walk we drove in to have another good visit.

What a surprise to be joined by Sandra.  We got caught up on all the news while enjoying a great supper.

This is a picture of the moon from the balcony at Carol and Panteli’s house.  This picture was taken through the trees.  I still like it.  Anyway I am going to start publishing at night before bed when the day is over and there is nothing left to say.  So good-night.

THATS A GOOD IDEA MOM. End of the day is better . I went in and the dentist cut my plastic teeth so they would fit into the gap properly. there still is pain and he told me he put over thirty stiches in. No infection and healing well. in six moths a x-ray to see if the bone graph worked . ken

I feel for you Kenny, long painful process, but worth it once it is over. Oh, and I still have a slight bit of numbness. It has been 5 years for me.

Today is looking to be a beautiful day. Randy will come home and sleep for a bit and then we will go to the dump and then to the nursery!

Yup, spring plant buying has started. Hmm, which means time to sniff out what plants I can liberate from other peoples gardens. I should offer to help Carol with her weeding. : )

You and Larry have many good friends and such a close knit family who fulfill your life with love. It is a testament to the many years you have been so kind and compassionate to them. I see quite a few people who are seniors and they are very lonely....it is sad, but I think many times it reflects what they did with their life. Not always...

Vera sounds like am interesting friend. Does she still wear high heels? Gosh I gave those up when I left teaching at school and opened my own business. In the 1980's. Comfort is my style!

Yes, that is a good idea to write and post your blog in the evening...it is there waiting for us in the morning!

Gosh, I too, feel sorry for Ken...having teeth pulled is one of the most miserable things....that was a lot of stitches. Take care, Ken.

I have to say, I am envious of you Sandra....nurseries and gardening...yes! But I am sure you will have so much pleasure and look forward to some pictures later on.

Have a wonderful lunch with Vera,

Love, Nancy

Forgot to say, our minister, Judy, asked me to help with the Sunday School kids. Judy is planning a painting of Abraham and Sarah when God tells them of the covenant of fullfilling them with a child and many many children as many as the stars in the sky.

We are meeting on a Saturday with the kids and lots of paint and brushes and old clothes! I will supply all the art stuff and do the drawing first. Should be a lot of fun!

love, Nancy

That sounds like a fun thing to do painting with the children. It will also being pleasure as it hands in the church.

Vera does not wear high heels any more as she is now like the rest of us afraid of falling.
