THE BIKERS IN THE SKATE BOARD PARK

The ferry ride was very smooth and it was like being on a million dollar curse ship!  We were on the look out for whales or seals but the sea was calm and sparkling.  The land quickly disappear behind us but we were surrounded by very green inviting islands.islands.

Right near to Oliver's abode was a neat skate board park.
I followed the young at heart which included Carol, Morgan and Ben.  They had a blast until the time came to get up and out over the very high wall.  Such colorful decorations!

Tired but happy we made our way home to cuddle up by the blazing fire.  Another fantastic day!

DSCN5658The discussions were lively too and as usual dad was in a good story telling frame of mind.

It was hard to come down to reality when we returned home.  Laundry to do and lists to write for groceries although lots of vegetables, some unnameable in the frig.  Dad picked up a few things like milk and apples and eggs after going to the eye doctor.

The left eye could not see the little dot but he knew it was not so good.  He did not see the doctor but will see her in April.  The left eye had laser surgery.

I went to my Jet Lag Bible study and there was laughter and learning as usual.

Still more pictures of waves to come.

No down time, right back at it for you two. I am kind of surprised that there was no picture of you on the bike mom.

Nothing new here. Oh, Randy may apply at Westshore terminal again for a couple of new jobs posted.

The ferry looks to be smaller than usual...but I know you were loading on the top vehicle deck...so there probably was a lot more below.

The kids look like they were having fun at the skate board park. Carol too..riding the bike! I bet they are going to want to go back and visit Ollie soon. I bet all that fresh sea air tired you out and you slept well.

Sorry to hear that Larry's vision is not as good as they hoped...maybe it just needs some time.

I am going to go to church for Palm Sunday...and again for Easter Sunday....such important times for the church and I don't want to miss them. We are so fortunate to have Judy as our minister...she has been here for about 10 years and I am sure she will stay forever! She lives here too and loves the lifestyle here.

Well we are either going to a funeral tomorrow or going to Winnipeg...not sure which! I think I will go to the funeral...it is for a long time resident here and Carl employed her sons for many years. She was 95 and lived a hard life....she had 10 living children and worked so hard on the mink ranches, housecleaning for the cottagers and even raking lawns in the spring and fall. I admired her very much....never a complaint and a strong faith.
I have to tell you a little story about her....about two hours before she passed away her bell rang at the nurses desk and when they went to her room and asked her, did you ring the bell? She said, no, the angels did. Her name was Elsie Parisian....age 95. A grand lady.....of simple means.

Well I am glad you are back Beth...and look forward to your blog tomorrow.

Have a good sleep,
Love, Nancy
