Dad and I decide not to drive into the service in Vancouver. It would have been interesting to her the eulogy of her life. She came from a family of thirteen and adopted three children to create a family as family meant a lot to her.
I have already gone over and had a quiet visit with Linda her daughter and she suggested we come over to the house later in the afternoon.
A stressful and emotional day for the family.
I was affirmed by the loving words of my Bible study group yesterday as we shared about those who have influenced our lives. I look at all the bright faces around the table and see the most compassionate, caring, authentic honest and trustworthy group of friends. Their love has overflowed into my life and I have been more than blessed with their friendship/
Funny and original each one a one of a kind. Any one of them can light up a room with their presence!
We have struggle to answer questions and to understand scripture mainly so that we can be happier and full of inner faith that encourages us to help others.

A suitable day for a funeral. I guess Mary's house will go up for sale? That is quite a drive into Vancouver and better that you visit at the house...nice of her daughter to ask you.
How wonderful to have such a good group for your bible study...I find there usually is one in any group who sees things differently....we had one old fellow who would take the most comfy chair with the best view of the television, where we watched the video and then discussed it...and he would promptly fall asleep. He sure could wake up for the lunch!
I have an artist/teacher friend who moved to Vancouver from a farm in southern Manitoba and she greatly misses it. She was here visiting recently and I think they may just move back home. She has an excellent job at a private school and so does her husband...but the hectic busy life just may not be for them! They find the cost of living there very high, as well.
Are you and Larry watching the hockey playoffs? We have given up and watch the Blue Jay games instead.
