HOPE

Happy Birthday Sandra!  !
Yes it was raining and dull and cold.
I did go out into the garden and discovered a new flower.
It was hidden among the bleeding hearts which the humming birds love,

I stubbed my toe, chased by bees and caught in the thorns of a rose bush.  I came in the sun came out.
Dad went for a bike ride and is doing okay.

The one thing about the church is that people find out about how you are doing by the grape vine.  It was nice to have several calls knowing that we are thought of it and people are hoping we will be better soon

Yes they are hoping any day now!

"Hope can get us through just about anything."
Yes a little faith and a heart full of hope help us along the way.

Off to finish a little in the garden as the day has warmed up and the freshness of the air lifts my spirits!

Thank you, thought it was a pretty low key birthday. Randy ended up coming home after his first shift, but since it wasn't expected I did not have any dinner planned.

I did a bit of puttering in the morning, but did not get back out into the garden in the afternoon. Will do that tomorrow or Monday.

Hi Beth. Just a quick comment before we are off to an early start to our friends indian wedding. l think your new flower may turn out to be morning glory and if it is get rid of it as soon as possible although it is pretty unless you get rid of it fast it will be with you forever..sorry about this bad news but glad to hear that Larry had a good day yesterday. Love Jane.

Hope comes with the beautiful sunrise each morning with the promise of another day. Hope comes with the morning arrival of the birds, looking for breakfast....I wonder how many generations of bluejays have come daily for their peanuts...it has been 40 years of feeding them. They are looking mighty "spiffy' in their new feathers, and the blues and violets are so vivid.

Pat and Mike, the two crows who are a mated pair were here too. They are looking "ratty", almost like plucked chickens, because their molt is later than the jays. They sit side by side, very close to each other and they touch bills sometimes.

The large Coopers Hawk has "flown the coop" thankfully. BUT we have the smaller Merlin, the falcon now. He is daring and chases the blue jays and even the crows...but he is only the size of jay so it is unlikely he will catch any. All the smaller birds nd chipmunks are hiding.

There is a funeral today for Carl's cousin, Marlene who passed away after a fight with breast cancer. It is a Catholic funeral, which will be pretty long. I may not go because our son may have to go to emergency. He shot himself with a large nail in his hand at work. With the nail gun. He has worked with tools for 40 years and never hurt himself...first time.

It is another beautiful blue sky morning, but we are supposed to be having large storms later in the day, then much cooler with rain. It has been hot here all summer. 28C today.

You made me laugh with your garden tales....chased by bees, caught in the thorns etc. Glad you escaped relatively unscathed.

I wish you a super dooper day with no pain for Larry,

Love, Nancy

Nancy hope your son is okay,
even after years of experience accidents can happen.
No Jane it is not a morning glory but a lily I think.

Good day with Tasha and Sandra and a phone call from Ken.
