DEVILISH

P6081255
DSCN2794Today dad has an appointment with Dr. Jovanovick his cancer doctor so I hope he is a lot better.  I can drive but I would take the slow route.   Dad drove himself and had a small growth removed from his thumb and another one from his back.  In the afternoon I visit Lily with the broken hip.  She is doing very well and credits prayer and I credit her fighting spirit.

Skip the rest of my ramblings. J

Jesus says choose life even to those who are in a  struggle with the devil or with darkness. The thing is that we do not have to believe in the devil like the people in the time of Jesus did but we see his desire is to heal and bring life and light to all.

There were people who were called possess who are in reality suffering from a purely physical ailment or mental ailment.  I am thankful we are learning new ways to help people conquer these problems.

By the Sea of Galilee  according to scripture Jesus performed many miracles there,  not only healing people but casting out demons.

We can chose to believe demonic possession is a realm  of primitive thought or we accept the possibility that evil is real and a force at work in our lives today.  In the healing of the boy with eplilepic Jesus rebukes the power that is controlling him; so  what we now know is a physiological condition .

One day a man with an "unclean spirit" entered the synagogue where Jesus was teaching.  In the Jewish sense this meant something out of place in a spiritual sense and therefore opposed to the Holy Light.  Jesus heals because he believes life is precious and the desire to live is what is important.

"Jesus is engaged in a battle with cosmic significance. He struggles against and overcomes the chaotic forces of nature, Satan, sickness and death.  In this respect his acts of power are a part of his mission to proclaim and make present the kingdom of God."  -James Martin, SJ

This is devilish hard to understand.  But love can overcome hate!

Dad felt a little better by last night and says he has learned his lesson but time will tell.

In a lighter vein Jasmine took our picture to show and tell along with some Canadian money and a skunk!  Awe that was very sweet of her!

There was a little devil in Randy last night, He waited until dark to go out and dig up a holly plant we saw on a walk earlier this week. It is on the edge of a lot that is getting cleared for houses so really he was just saving a life. Did dad go to the doctor about his eye yet? Sandra

No it seems better but the other pains have maybe pushed it aside. We are in White Rock this morning to see his cancer doctor so if he wants to go to the emergency about his eye he can.

It is funny how even though you are doing something that is harmless you can feel a little guilty about it.

Hope your new plant does well! Whose idea was it?

Love mom

that is too cute Sandy! way to go Randy. Saving plant life. lol such a good story to tell years down the road when the plant grows nice and big.

Hope Grandpa's appointment goes well. My dad goes back to the doc on Thursday and i hope for some good news and answers as he is very sore again. He had an infection in his arm that we think started from him pricking his fingers to check blood sugar levels. and it seems to either have spread to his leg or something else. It really worries me and its hard to help him because he is a stubborn man. LOL

have a great day!

Awe...talk about a super husband! Good for you Randy...rescuing that poor holly plant from the developers!

Sorry to hear that Larry is not feeling well and has pain. It is so tiring to have pain. I hope you feel better soon, Larry and you had a good appointment with your doctor today.

Shandel, I will keep your Dad in my prayers too...hoping that it all turns out well for him.

I saw my doctor today...the one from Libya. He is leaving next week..to go to another Canadian city where there are more Muslims for his wife to visit with.

I now have pleurisy...that explains the sharp pain in my back and oh boy, does it hurt to cough! Hopefully this is the end of the saga...I am not used to being sick. It has been a month now. YUK.

Our weather is still below normal...I think this will be the 9th month of below normal temps. I prefer it cooler in the summer. so don't mind, but the cottagers are not happy. We are having a wind storm tomorrow and the lake is forecasted to rise 4 to 5 feet. Strong winds from the north west can do a lot of damage to the beaches and banks.

Love, Nancy
