SUNNY DAY

It is always a sunny day on my birthday.  I walk my usual early morning walk alone.

Hopefully Ken is getting his procedure over and done with and some good news after.

Our friends Pat and John are dropping by bringing some vegetables from the garden..  No carrots this time as they do not like the hot weather and they try to protect them with their shade umbrella.

My birthday party is at Carol and Panteli's home and I am looking forward to having a fun time.

No last minute plans have changed.  We will be at SAndra and Randy's.

I am thankful for an interesting life and for thoughtful, caring family and friends.

Yes the gift I am choosing to give back  is to be cheerful and happy.

                                                             Happy Birthday to me!

And hope you enjoy dinner with Sandra and Carol and the crew.

I am not feeling that well, but will make a real effort to come down for the welcome party for Hobey in a couple of weeks.

Have a wonderful time with your birthday dinner. A sunny day on a birthday is fabulous. I think that is what is most special about a July Birthday.

Happy Birthday dear Beth. I wish you a wonderful year ahead...good health, filled lots of fun and family. I will look forward to hearing all about your birthday supper etc tomorrow.

It must be nice walking early in the morning...I do love early mornings when the sun is just coming up. Lately I have been lazy and not getting up until 7:30 or 8:00. I stay up a little later in the evening too, usually reading.

Mr. Bear came again during the day...now that is surprising as they are mostly nocturnal...but he has been here in the daytime before. He took one bat at the hanging bird feeder and the dogs started barking and alerted me to the fact he was here. I can always tell by the shrillness in their bark.
I secured the dogs and opened the door and he ran across the drive way...but stopped and watched me as i went out and brought the bird feeder in the house. That is the last one I have....bears have wrecked all the others. He is pretty darned tame.

I spent all day getting ready for my art class tomorrow. Lots to do when you have to take all the art supplies. But it is done. Packed and ready to roll. I haven't been feeling good the last couple of days...the usual problems. But I am determined to teach my class...I have students who will help set up...and my friend helps a lot too. She looks after the registrations and payment and booking of future classes in exchange for the free class. She also picks me up...because she has an SUV that is large...for all the art stuff and easels.
My car is too small. So it works out well for both of us. There are 16 students a large class. I am very blessed...always amazed at how lucky I am. I love teaching...but I know I have told you that before!

I have a lady in my class who is a well known silver smith in Vancouver. Her jewellery is in some galleries there. She is on vacation at VB. She hasn't painted before and I think a little worried about it...she said she would approach it "gingerly". But I reassured her it would be easy and I teach and demo step by step. I will take a group photo and post on facebook. I cannot post photos here.

I am sorry to hear that Rick isn't feeling well either...it is awful to have to work when you are not well. I do hope that he gets some answers soon.

I have an appointment with the neurodiagnostics clinic at the Health Science Centre in Winnipeg...so I am hoping to get some answers too. The weakness, numbness and pain is getting a lot worse. spreading. It affects my eating and my speech now as well as mobility...but I am tough!

Have a good sleep tonight, with pleasant dreams of a lovely birthday, Beth,

Love to you both,
Nancy
