THE MESSAGE

Sandra told us we had a message from Hobie and we looked on face book and What's Up and couldn't find it.  We decided to be old fashioned and give him a phone call.

We arranged to meet him at his place in town at 11 and go to the Sylvia for lunch.

He is a busy young man and it will be good to have a special visit with him.

Dad had a bike ride and did some shopping at Shoppers.
He hopes to continue to feel better.

We receive many messages in our lives from people we know, books we read, and even music we listen to.

Each of us was born with message that we are meant to pass on to others.  We do this in our different ways and some times we do not even realize it as a message.

If we are open to listening we will know when some message is meant just for us.

Life has the power to speak to us through gray days and through bright days.

Life changes so does the message.

Nice that you saw Hobie again. I continue to feel poorly (in fact I am going to call the hospital this morning and see if I can get in to see the internist before Sept 17th) and so won't be down this weekend either. But I will come for Kim/Hamlet's wedding reception on Sept 1st. I also have to serve some papers on a law firm in Vancouver for an appeal in regard to Crystal's human rights issue while I'm there, so two birds with one stone kind of thing. Plus Leah and Ophelia's birthdays.

The menu at the Sylvia has changed quite a bit. A lovely spot whatever one decides to eat.

That flower in your picture looks pretty darn good - not brown at all!

The wildfire smoke continues very heavy here.

Love,

Rick

I am glad you broke down and gave Hobie a call. You will have a much better visit with him with out all the hub bub of a family get to gather.

Speaking of which I guess time is running out for me to decide what to make. I will leaf through some cookbooks, real and on line to see if I get inspiration.

Rick too bad you are not feeling well enough to come down
but Hobie understands.

Ken has information about a doctor who is sick like you have
been diagnosed and he will pass it on to us.

Ken phoned to-night on the way home from work.

Time for bed.
