CONFUSION

This is one of dad's paintings hanging on the wall at Sandra's house.  Looks good.

Dad new pill made his very sleepy which he will get use to if he continues to give it a try.  We both went to bed very early and could hear the children playing hockey out on the road.  Wonder what time Sandra and Randy will hit the road this morning?

Chris's birthday today also the birthday of little tiny Madeline.  Sending our love to Leah today too.

This morning we will be having coffee with Jane and Geof and then next week they are off to London.

We should be hearing from Rick about when he returns from HongKong.  I think it is May 8th.

Faith and belief are not the same thing although we have been taught to belief this.
This has lead to a focus on the altar being replaced by scripture, preaching and theology.  This has lead to a focus on a growing pile of formalized statements, a vast need for "catechisms" and a need to formalize doctrinal objective truth.  This has opened the door to great debates.

What the issue has become is belief in the unbelievable.  This has separated us from the heart of the matter.  Jesus told those like the woman suffering from menstrual hemorrhage, a blind man,. and a prostitute that their faith has saved them.  He did not mean the Nicirene creed!

They acted out of a need to be near Jesus and to touch him.  Faith can be a decision based on need not knowledge,  a spirit of hopefulness and trust.

The absence of faith can lead us to act in certain ways, just as the presence of faith affects our actions and especially our desire to be more compassionate,

Well, not too early. Even though I am looking forward to the trip it is hard to drag my self away from the animals and garden. Hope the pills are helping dad and the sleepy goes away soon. Sandra

Nice pics again Beth...the close-ups of the bleeding heart and pink flower are especially nice. Larry's painting looks excellent, perhaps that is something he would like to do...join a painting group? He has talent! Too bad you don't live nearby..I am going to start teaching watercolour classes again. Beth, what do you think the difference is between, Faith, belief and religion?
I hope you both grow stronger and are able to walk longer. I love walking as I know you both do, and have started longer walks with Beau, my new little dog. I am stiff and sore, but determined. He provides great incentive. I usually end up with three or four extra dogs...all neighbours dogs.
