CARDS

DSCN0868Our family is made up a lot of characters I would describe as  “cards”.
We all seem to be created with our own sense of humor which keeps life interesting and funny.

It is fun also to give and receive cards like this one from Sandra.

Family times always bring out the joker in some of us.  This is good
when we can laugh together. A sense of humor is so important in life and especially in families.  Dad is our best story teller and has such a great sense of humor!

After all he was the editor of Humour for the High school Lantern Newspaper!

I did not feel like doing any housework when I got home  yesterday after being out all morning.  I got my hair done,  cut not done, and actually my nails too (the second time in my life).  Then dad and I drove to River road to have lunch by the water.  Very enjoyable!
Yes we missed the new turn off and ended going through the tunnel again, only to have to turn around and come back through again.  But we were in no hurry, it was a lovely day and good for a laugh.  I was then reminded to squeeze what you can from the present because things can change from enjoyable to frustrating and annoying.

Taking time to feast our eyes on the blueness of the water and the green lush trees growing on the far side.  A warm lazy time in the sun!

I am trying to talk dad in to going to another specialist because his feet are getting more painful.  He went to the store after we got back to get a new pedal for his bike and probably stood to long trying to put it on.  The only solution seems to be to stay off his feet.  So today, Tuesday, he has gone for a walk in the Water Shed Park.

We all have great potential which I see as being in tune with the natural flow of energy, that is love, that surrounds us all.

We have to change our picture of perfection and value what is good about life and about ourselves.

It would be nice if their was an umbrella that could protect us from pain and sickness but life is tough.  It seems that of all the Christian virtues the most needed is hope.  It is when we have hope we find the courage to face the future whatever it may hold.

I have heard that many have searched for the fountain of youth but now I would be happy if they found the fountain of brains!  or better yet a way to create a more developed kind of brain!  Or a Brain that does not wear out!

"We speak little and listen long
(wisdom comes from listening)
It is wise to save words and use them only when they can be effective.
Always watch first, with a still heart and mind
then you will learn
When you have watched enough you can act."
-an American Elder

Listening is just as important as doing and there is always a need for people to express what they are feeling.  We are all loving beings, each with a gift of uniqueness to give to the place where we are.

It will be a relief to know how Jesse is and what is wrong.  Pain is no good and wears a person down.

Yes missed the new turnoff, then after such a nice lunch made another bad decision - take river road home because evidently there is a new shortcut off it to save time. Ha! I guess a hundred or so trucks and thousands of cars, had the same idea - the shortcut turned out to be a single lane with several traffic lights (new)and several - LONG DELAY -CREWS WORKING - signs meant what they said!
So I'm of looking for the - Fountain of Brains

If you ever find the Fountain of Brains please let me know if mine is there. It's been missing for quite awhile now & I really need it back!

Jesse getting ultra sound done today, should know more by this afternoon. Weird weather here at the moment , cold and warm at the same time , it's the wind. Cold southerly winds at the moment, we were all set for a nice warm spring...

Well it is good that you have done all the testing and hopefully the pain will go away. Worry does not help.
Hope you finally get some better weather. It is very warm here.

Maybe talk on the week end.
