LITURGICAL LIMITS

Everywhere I went there were people all dressed up and having fun.
It is good to enjoy fun and laugh at each other because
so much in life causes us conflicting emotions.

Groups of children arrived about 5:45 and came steady till about 7:30 when it was getting to be all the bigger kids.  Sure some great costumes.  Fire crackers are still going off as I went to bed!

This is from Tales of a Jewish Mystic:
A Gentile official realizes his need to come out of  the security of his official identity and cry out to Jesus to heal his son.

The Jewish people who have been conquered have built their faith around the observance of the Sabbath, the requirement of a kosher  diet and the act of circumcision.   They have lived as strangers and exiles but always believed they were meant to be the people who would bring God’s holiness into the light of truth for all to see!

The Jew and the Gentile represent two different world views.  Yet this Gentile official has the heart of a father and he turns to Jesus in hopes he will heal his son.  Like all of us seeking cures for family or friends we will go to almost any length, even though at times it calls for tough love.

The time was coming to free people of fearful thinking and seek healing in the source of God who wants us to be set free from developed theological and liturgical thinking to which we must answer "yes".
The spiritual presence we call God permeates our universe and becomes audible in the life of Jesus.  Jesus spoke the word and the son was healed.

“Life calls to life, love calls to love,
Being raises out of the Ground of Being  (putting aside our major beliefs and convictions about being right)  and in that understanding the separation of  Jew from Gentile also quite clearly disappears.  -

Dad drove me to the Seniors Home and then went to the vitamin store.  We may be trying some new vitamins.  Today I see the doctor and then we go to a funeral and take our books back to the library.
First I will have my walk!

It is just to get results from the x-ray of my wrist that is still painful but I am sure I will just have to live with it. Maybe try the pills. Anyway wrong day so I cancelled all appointments.
Enjoyed seeing the children going out on Halloween. Jasmine will love all that candy. I know Morgan sure does!
