Dad and I took off to Chilliwack to see Morgan doing her swimming lessons. She is a great little swimmer as were her mom and grandma before her. The whole family was. Boys seem to like diving the best.
I used to love going swimming in the ocean when we visited friends who moved out from the prairies.
Maybe my arm will be better for next year's pool parties. I know a pool is a good place to do exercises.
Ben was waiting outside in the parking lot as we had driven by and just missed it.
The drive there was very smooth and we would have arrived in good time if we had not been driving up and down the same road.
Yes, we had cell phones but had not connected in time.
I think we are very fortunate in these our later years to have more and more opportunities every day.
"Deep in side of us we know there is someone we were meant to be." I hope that I am becoming than person that I feel comfortable with and one who can relax and enjoy life.
That was Elizabeth Kubler-Ross.
She says: " You will never again play this role and experience life as it has been given to you. You will never experience the earth with all it's wonders in this time again. Don't wait for the last look back at the ocean, the sky, the stars, or your loved ones."
I am so thankful we experience a day of happiness with our dear family. A lunch in a small café in downtown. Ben is having a party to celebrate his birthday. that was earlier in the year. A sleep over and paint ball game planned for the next day!
Oh to be young and full of energy!

It was a nice day yesterday, thought the weather was kind of back and forth.
I will be shopping today for supplies to make Lincoln's birthday cake.

Looks like it's still a nice and warm summer. I'm watching the little league World Series. Gotta be quick if you want to see Canada... White rock is the team this year. Australia is in it as well .

I don't have to tell you how lucky you are to have such a large and wonderful family! I can tell you love them all very much.
What a wonderful day driving out to Chilliwack to see your Granddaughter and Great Grandchildren. Isn't Ben growing into a nice young man? How old is he 13? 14? And Morgan is such a pretty girl and growing up too. Nice photos of the kids.
It is so nice to see you getting out now and back into your old routine of visiting and family things.
We had a devil of a storm last night....the sky was constantly lit with lightning and some of the strikes were pretty darned close. It lasted for 3 hours and we received 2 1/2 inches of rain. Most people I talked to had to get up about 3 am and wait out the storm, until 6 am.
It stormed off and on all day today too and tonight the winds are going to shift to the north and bring us cooler temperatures...which is just fine with me. The lake will rise about 5 feet though and cause flooding.
Thanks Beth for your continued posting on your blog, even through some very tough times.....it is a joy to read it daily.
Love, Nancy
