GIFTS

DSCN3006
Now I can take time to read my cards and appreciate the thoughtfulness of the words and the wonderful memory of my birthday.  I have told my brain to remember.
Also the gifts of love expressed in other gifts.

The gift of time and energy.  Hearing voices of family on the phone is a special gift too!  Always love receiving chocolates two boxes.  Yummy.

The gift of ourselves is the best gift we give to one another.

Life is a gift itself.  "Fleeting and fragile, life is your most cherished possession.  Make of it what you can, but protect it with all your might."  -Flex Francis

Dad had a smashing day challenging his bike to a huge hill but his motor said no way Jose'.    He managed to come down and get home.  Yah!

Our minister Daniel came for a visit which we had out in the back yard.  Thankful for the  breeze.

So the bike finally hit its limit? It is nice to have some quiet time to appreciate all the fun times. More fun times just around the corner so rest up! Sandra

Looking forward to the pool party at sandra's. Doctor said I can't go swimming till my ear is completely healed, so I'll be spectating during the diving competition. Carol bought a cute little Volkwagon hatchback from the Tsawwassen Car Sale. By the way, it's "José"!

Mikey and I are super excited about our anniversary weekend in the Okanagan. The kids are excited to hang out with grandma, especially Morgan. Ben and Kim went on an overnight hike to Greendrop lake. I was a little nervous about bears and cougars. But they arrived home safely. They even had energy to play drop in soccer. Ben lasted three hours. It was quite a mix of people. After playing for an hour and a half I stayed to watch. It was quite entertaining. Lots of people joined after I stopped playing.

I am glad Granpda is enjoying his bike. That is so cool. Maybe he could start a biker gang :)

We come back from our trip on Sunday. Not sure what time. I am planning to visit with Shandel and Cameron on Monday. I dont know what they jab planned. But I can also drive them to the airport on my way back if they want.

We will be visiting grandma and grandpa tomorrow afternoon. That is where I will leave them and mom will pick then up. See you guys later.

Jasmine slept better last night. I have the day off. Melina has to go to work to do some training course. What hill did dad get stuck on? Your weather looks fantastic. We are in the grips of a dramatic cool change , 18c yesterday , but by this afternoon the temp will drop and wind chill below zero ...ugh

Yes we are just the opposite - perfect weather - went for a little 23k ride on my bike - can get as much exercise as I like - it is great. Put on 30k and not quite one third battery used. It was a little hot.

Looks like your hot weather record is going to become a cold record !!
