THE HILLTOP
Dad and I drove into White Rock to drop off my over-night breathing test. Then from the top of the hill we drive down
to the beautiful blue ocean at the bottom. A very steep drive.

I love watching each little wave arrive triumphantly at the shore.
A strange place to have train tracks. The train can be so quiet it sneaks up upon you and you never even hear it at all, so you have to be extremely careful. Yes, people have gotten killed there. Dad will not let me climb over to get some better pictures even with my cane.
Further along there is a warf you can walk out on and feel like your at the edge of time and space.
On our way back to the bakery we pass a lot of interesting little stores. Yes there is a second hand store and a used book store among the more modern establishments like the liquor store. Too bad it is too early for fish and chips!
Years ago we had lunch at this little outdoor place. It is nice a few things do not change.
Being in the presence of the vast ocean reminds us that the time is now to go beyond the arrogance of always being right.
Reality wants us to include the rights of the natural world and the rights of all human beings.
We are such a small part of this big world and it is our part to care for it.
So today dad and I are going to the Seniors Home as it is milkshake day.
Also we are going to have Buffalo Burgers for supper thanks to Leah and Craig bringing us some Buffalo meat. We will try it!

Very nice and sunny, glad that summer is in full swing. We are hoping for some awesome pool weather when we come visit. Today we are expecting +30 and a wikkid storm tonight. Adventure's in babysitting start for Cameron and i tonight. lol we are helping out my uncle and cousin by looking after her 9month old baby. Her name is Delilah and she is a sweet heart. Have not changed a diaper in about 12 years but i am looking forward to spending time with a baby. Will be ready to hand her back to my Uncle on Sunday though. lol Today i am going out to the beach to enjoy the sun and paddle on my SUP. I had to get SPF 60 because the 30 was not enough and burnt skin is not healthy. Have a great day delivering your milkshakes. Maybe we when come out for the long weekend we can have fish and chips. it is always my favorite meal to have when i head to BC. lots of love
We can take you two for a little walk in the watershed park - if you like.
White rock is great in summer. Envoy your burgers, you need the protein. Ken

Wow 30 years - that is amazing - you have the same as I had with atc. Actually a little more I only had 29yrs and 8 months.
CONGRATULATIONS
The buffalo burgers were great.
I went for a little walk in the watershed park - lovely day - all alone - very restful
Oh by the way Ken - tell Hobey to start studying Spanish - the Air traffic Controllers in Spain are making 800,000 euros a year - only ten times as much as the prime minister.
See Google - Spanish controllers
I didn't know White Rock had steep streets. It reminds me of Ladysmith on the Island. Very pretty, Beth, especially with the deep blue sea.
Yes, train can be dangerous and sometimes people are careless around the,. I remember a woman was killed by the Island train, a few years ago. She had ear buds in her ears and couldn't hear it coming.
Love, Nancy
