DRAMA

Life can be awfully difficult some times and we all want everyone to be happy.  Those little kittens sure found a home in your hearts.  Just a pair of softies you are!

Hopefully the family problems will work out but may take time.

I must admit I was feeling pretty down about missing church and also a concert at Pat's church we had been invited to.    I have missed several events which for me give the season life and energy.

"Every act of kindness that others This is what I read so I went down to visit Gundy.  I expected her to have benefited from being in the hospital but she found she was behind lock-doors in the area she was in.  Not good.  When she found that out she desperately wanted out and went to bed with her own clothes still on and refused to put on a hospital gown.

She now has home help coming every day which she does not think she needs.  I hope I cheered her up a little by telling her I had it when I came home from hospital.  It was a frustrating visit that I was not prepared for.

Dad and I went to Chapters just to get out for awhile.  Coming out there was a brilliant sunset that was truly amazing.

When ever I see the story of the birth of Jesus I am reminded that his birth and life and death are a spiritual drama.  I like to be drawn into this life as it some how gives my life meaning and purpose.

I think it is more than a fairy tale but a powerful message of redemption and forgiveness and revelation.  I was thinking how one can read scripture and make it be what you want a God to be.

We all try to do our best in life but it can still be awful!

A good day is like a miracle of God's grace and amazing love!

The Nativity reminds us that life can be good and bad, happy and sad.

I took Boots back to the Vet. The skin biopsy showed some infection. The vet suggested a skin specialist. I said no. I will give it another month then let the RSPCA lady take Boots. Last week of school for the kids .Matthew won a " Rising Star award" at school.

Drama...don't you think that Christmastime brings out dramas in families? it always seems to happen and I am so glad when it is all over and we can return to our normal routine.
I send hugs to Sandra and Randy....hoping that their family returns to normal soon and they don't have to worry.

Our son is quite depressed and we worry about him. He lives alone with three cats and a dog ( the pets were his wifes,) but she passed away three years ago.He looks after them very well.
He hasn't been working lately...it seems we all have a cross to bear.

Ah Beth. sorry to hear your cheerfulness disappeared on you.....some days are just bad days aren't they? Carl had a bad day today...he was quite confused and asked me many times what day it was and the date. He got better as the day wore on and is pretty much OK now. he was just very tired and had a lot of pain. I do hope you feel better soon, Beth and the meds don't give you much trouble.

We drove to the Reserve where our pharmacist and doctor are and picked up Carl's drugs for his infusion this thursday...The have to be refrigerated and we take them in to the clinic on Thursday with ice and a cooler.

The pharmacist is from Jordan and a Muslim and the nicest fellow....he knows Carl and wanted to carry the cooler out to the car for me and have a little visit with Carl. I thought I left my sunglasses in there and went back in and there were not there...but he was all concerned about me driving without them and wanted me to take his. Can you believe that? WOW...I just don't understand the bigotted people who are so afraid of Muslims...they are fine people just like us...it is a very few that are bad. The sun glasses were in my pocket..it seems I have had so many nice things happen lately. Each one a blessing.

There is a big snow storm coming for WEdnesday and I have to drive in to the city on Thursday with Carl...sure hoping the roads are OK. We have to go! I think it will be pretty nasty with strong winds and blowing snow. May ask our son to drive!

Too bad about Boots the cat....you would think that the vet would have offered an antiobiotic for the infection at least! He could try....why wouldn't he do a skin biopsy....ours does that right then and there and knows what to prescribe...it fi is a fungus or a bacteria. I think I would try another vet....

Well I wish you a lovely evening,

Love to you both,
Nancy

I guess we should all count our blessings, for us one of those might be that Gundy is not our mother. Gee, I thought you were difficult (which you can be!) but I bet she takes it to a whole new level. Just a reminder to you that when people who love you are offering help maybe you should let them.

Me and the kids have worked through the issues, and looking forward to Christmas once again.
