REALITIES

This world can be an unsafe place especially if you are a mouse.  I was finding evidence of the mouse in more and more places.  We had put out nice safe traps but the mouse was not impressed,
I insisted we get some new traps.  DAD was not happy but neither was I.

Anyway we baited the traps, shut the lights off and went off to be.  We heard noises downstairs during the night but ignored the,  In the morning the traps were gone and no sign of a mouse.

It was hiding behind the door crippled so dad let it go into the garage.

The next step is the exterminators.

After a walk with Haiti in light snow fall dad and I drove to Ladner to visit this cute beautifully lit store.  We bought a few presents.  We need a present for the game.

Sandra phoned for Carol's address and Ken phones for Sandra's.  The reality is I am not as good as I used to be but I do have the addresses now.

Hard to believe it is so hot in Melbourne.  Good the children are on vacation and Kenny and Matthew could go see Star Wars together.  I hope Melina is not working too hard even though it is part time the hours are long.

Hmm, December 17th and everyone too busy to comment? I am not in my reorganization disaster as I move stuff around to make room for everyone one. Then I have to start my shopping. OH, and get a turkey!!!
Better not forget that or I will look even worse than Carol and Panteli for just being late.

OH boy, those darned mice sure are persistent aren't they Beth?
We were told they can squeeze into space the thickness of a dime.

We have been battling them in our Toyota Sienna van for 9 months now. They get in absolutely everything...even the glove compartment....they ate all the foam of the inside of the engine cover and leave their droppings all over. We took the van into the bio-hazard restoration shop yesterday. The insurance estimator had to wear a biohazard full suit and mask to look at it. They are concerned about the danger of Hantavirus which is often fatal if you get it.

This is the second time our insurance has paid to clean and sterilize it.

So, we rented a car for a month ... fortunately, we had the extra insurance. Note to those reading this....I highly recommend checking your insurance to see if you have the coverage.....most policies don't...you have to request extra coverage for a car rental. It is only $60 a year. Well worth it.

They gave us a Volkswagon Jetta....we have never had any experience with Volkswagens...but it seems to be a nice car, very surprising the amount of room inside.

We left home at 6 am to be into the hospital in Winnipeg for Carl's second infusion.....what a long day. Our son, Bob drove us because the highways were bad and we don't drive in the dark often. We were away from home for 10 hours and the doggies were sure happy to see us when we arrived home. Our son, Mark, let them outside on his way to work after a lunch break.

Love, Nancy
