PRICELESS

A work of art by a grandchild is priceless!  All the way from Australia by Matthew!

Ken brought us our favorite chocolates from home the ones with Macadamia nuts!

Another evening visit with Carol and Kim.  Everyone had cat and dog stories which are good fun.  Ken and dad went to Value Village to check out the bargains.  I had a short rest and then went out to the front porch and saw this little dog running by a man yelled at me to catch her so I went out to the end of the driveway and soon saw I was not going to catch the dog.

Decided to take Haiti fr a walk and met the man again and relieved that the dog had been caught.

After we went to the eye doctors where had had a long couple of hours and had a very good check-up.  He will have laser surgery next month.  After we persuaded Ken to go to White Spot for his favorite hamburger.

Meanwhile Sandra is organizing a turkey dinner for Ken and family on Sunday.  She will have more free time once she writes her exam on Friday.

What is the laser surgery for?
Did you get more details on Carol's offer on the house? When would they be taking possession?

Sorry to be missing all the fun n the evenings. I spent the day dealing with realestate agents, home insopectors and bankers. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Sandra's on Sunday! We have the home inspection Friday morning at 10:00 am, and if all goes well, we would have possesion on Nov.15. Carol is going to King of Floors today to spend more money. xo Panteli

I think catching a runaway dog would be a long shot even when you were young. Following over and bruising the other ribs would not have been a good outcome, but it seems that didn't happen. (Or did it?)

A colourful drawing...good work Matthew! Kids always draw such happy subjects. It is a keeper!

It is so much fun sitting around and reminiscing about good times isn't it? I am so glad our son, Ken, came for a visit and the rest of the family will all be together on Sunday. An early Thanksgiving for you.

We always enjoy it when Carl tells some of his stories from when he was just a young fella!
He grew up without running water...except for the guy running with the pail from the well and without electricity. Of course no indoor plumbing either. By the time we were married they had all those things. But just recently. That was 1960. I was used to living that way at our cottage at VB, but grew up in the city...so liked my comforts!

We are expecting snow tomorrow...lake effect snow from a cold northly wind that is blowing in overnight. Being on the south east side of the lake we get crazy weather from the north west.
The dogs and I walked a mile and half today...we did two miles on Tuesday. They love walking.

I see a weather warning flashing..must go. Carl just saw lightening....good grief...guess we will get out the lanterns.

Love, Nancy
