NO RUSH

PB060665
There were so many changes in this day.  From early morning sunshine to pouring rain to strong winds.

Dad and I are in no rush to do anything.  We wait for the last crumb of bread, the last shrivelled up carrot before we rush out to go shopping.  Also the last piece of toilet paper that has to be shared in the three bathrooms.  Two small and the one large.  Everyone has to check before going to see if there is any toilet paper.  Maybe we should get an intercom in them.

We do not rush into changing all our clocks the living room still is on the old time and may stay that way until spring.  There again it is a challenge to figure out what the real time is and that is good for our brains.

We know we need hearing aids as we have a hard time hearing others especially those with  small voices.  Maybe we could try one and share them.  Dad does not need them for church as he just closes his eyes and rests.  Is he sleeping?  Sometimes?

We do not rush to get going in the morning as I am slower getting out the door for my walks or for meetings.

Dad is the last one on our street to put out the garbage and so far we have managed to beat the garbage trucks to the curb.  Garage has become like rocket science as you have to sort and separate and tear apart boxes and containers etc.

Dad has not rushed into reading the three brain books I have, maybe because they do not say for the male brain.  My last one from the library says for "The Female Brain."  yes of course written by a male.  Maybe he knows more about me than I know about myself.  The Bible is a funny book if you look for humor as it starts with the male blaming the female for his problems.  Yes I think males wrote these words and maybe dad is right they were not inspired by God but by too much male hormones and not the Holy Spirit.

Then there are the words of Paul that tell women to obey your husband.  Yea Right!

Remembrance day at church today.  Dad is taking pictures of his two uncles William and Clifford who died in the war.  Very sad for the whole family especially dad's dad losing two brothers.

Yes, the bible would be a much different book if women had been the ones interpreting goods voice and recording them. Such a gloomy start today after yesterdays sunshine. We have one more coat of pain to put on then can put the family room back together. Mandi has invited us over for lunch so we will learn out their trip to Peru.

Oh, and thanks for the reminder, I think we are running out of toilet paper too!

Sometimes we wait until there is nothing left to go to the grocery store too. Some weeks though, i do not like running out of anything so i am there every other day, picking up odds and ends. We received a snow fall over the weekend and its about -14 now. (with the wind chill) Daisy is crazy for snow, but we need to get her some new boots so her toes dont freeze. I have about 10 days until our Mexico trip. Sure beats the snow haha

You sound a bit like me! We have all our stuff from the garden but try to make the last of each veggie last as long as possible. We still have a few carrots, the beans wound up in the garbage (I waited too long to cook them) & the tomatoes that usually last until January 1 are now all gone! Toilet tissue, kleenex & paper towels are things I never run out of as I buy them when they're on sale so, if you run out, let me know!!
Love, Lee
